I love see this run.

I watching your first 3 segments. This was amazing. Shocked

I really suck this game, i have much trouble beat this one first time. Game controlls are absolutely horrible IMO. My gorea battle took first time over 50 minutes and second time over 40 minutes. This is nice see your run. Because MP Hunter is very hard game speedrun.

MPH is definitely the easiest game to speed run imo because there are practically no tricks in this game that requires a lot of practice. Boost, boost, artifact, keys, boss, boost, guardians, boost, leave (that's just what I think the game is like). Metroid Prime has plenty of techniques that I haven't been able to nail down yet, and Metroid Prime 2 is just as hard.

Well, Ok, maybe this game is hard to speed run because of the new controls but I find them to be comfortable.

It's definitely one of the easiest to speed run normally, since most of the game is linear. However, the fact that you have to record it in a completely different way from any other game makes it probably just as challenging as trying to speed run something else. (Of course speed running Metroid Prime or a Zelda game is more challenging than MPH even with the camera in your face, etc. but on the average difficulty of most "speed run-able" games, MPH is right there)

I plan on issuing credit wherever I received help for accomplishing the run. That includes you, for helping me with some things on Alinos, and I believe several other people from here. Most of all, of course, is Paraxade, since he made the route and assembled basically what the entire run should look like.

As a side note, think sda will take this? its some of the best quality ds video i've seen, I can even clearly read the text on the screen.

By the way, I decided to copy the game file and go through the rest of the game unrecorded to see what time is possible for this run. I got a new record. :D 1:21:47 is a possible time from this recorded speed run, and that's with estimated mistakes for when the camera is in my face. (My estimates aren't very good though...) So, I'm going to try and make the next segments as perfect or as near-perfect as I possibly can. Who knows, I might even hit 1:20. aiwebs_016

When you're done, you could edit out chunks of video for the site, for any speed tricks you used (like skipping the puzzle to get the judicator)

The last segment was very nicely done, by the way. Excellent work. :)

Either that or I could just record all of the tricks in one big video, then edit them out individually; it'd probably be easier to do it that way. By the way, as soon as I finish my run my next project will be to help make videos for the Hunters2k2 project. :)

hahaha, nice end to the gorea fight. you know that's my personal favorite part of running, when people find ways to screw around like that, and it's definitely something new with this first ever official ds run. well, congrats, and i look forward to receiving all the files. let me know if you have any torrent-related issues.

First post updated with segments 10 through 12. I'm considering re-doing segment 12 so I don't get any/many guardians/hunters on the way back to the ship, so I kept a copied save file from the end of 11.

One more segment... If I don't make my goal, I'll re-do segment 12. If even after that I don't make my goal, I'll go back to re-doing segment 11.

I'm probably going to re-do segment 12 though, since I want a clean escape there and not have to worry about running into some gay hunter like Weavel who nearly never misses his shots or whatever. Not only will it be easier, it will be faster.

I re-did Segment 12 and got a really good escape and time. Then I went on to the final segment and got 1:20:35 as my final time. grin new

I'm sure that based on how the game times playtime, a low 1:19 or even 1:18 could be possible. aiwebs_016

Segments 12 and 13 are being duplicated, then compressed, then finally uploaded. They'll be on YouTube ASAP. ^_^

Updated, all segments are on YouTube and have 1/3 the quality of the original video files. :P Once the run is on SDA, you can download the segments for a much higher quality. 8-)
