I've been finding weird things in ZM recently, so I thought I'd just start a topic for anything anyone comes across that seems a little weird.

while playing with single-segment 9%'s, I noticed something really odd. I fight mother brain by standing on the platform she/it sits on, since it's just safer there. occasionally, though, I mistime my jump and get hit by her beam as I land there.

here's the thing, though - it does zero damage. I have no idea why, and I don't see it being useful whatsoever, but there it is. if anyone wants to go try and verify it, feel free. it's happened to me twice. nate pointed out to me that it's pretty likely that you weren't meant to stand there if the game isn't calculating damage there, and I think he's right.
Thread title:
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Well, that explains why Mother Brain didn't kill me very fast in my 15% Hard game.
Freaky. Perhaps a video, so others can view this paranormal phenomenon? (Ow, can someone help untie my tongue?)
[color=blue]I beleive there is already a video of this on M2K2. Here's the link.

That's not what Trans was reffering to, anyway. Most guesses it's probally a glitch.

Yes, Cuma, font colours like that are very hard on the eyes, especially for users using SmartDark. Although it's just a policy, I would definitely remove them, or else people aren't going to want to read your posts.
I can scroll my cursor over cuma's text to see it better.

You mean highlight it? Yeah, but that's a hassle.
I found something that somewhat amusing in the game.  At the very, very end, when you are escaping the mothership, when you are about to get into the ship, you can jump into it backwards.
i tried that...i got a kick out of it
You can also jump in morphed
Sorry, I don't have a pic, but you can try it yourself.

Another rather funny thing I found out is that if you duck down while boosting in a save room and save while Samus is still flashing, when you load again, Samus will still be flashing as it plays the classic Metroid music.
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
Fusion did that, too.
Yeah, i like to shine charge in navigation rooms, the shine spark to the elevator. Not a save room but.....

Edit: Oops, thats Fusion too.

In Chozodia, in the "Room of 1000 annoying bomb blocks" the one with the Robot, if you move it all the way to the Right at the base of the ramp, if you get an the ramp and walk to the left (towards the robot) you will go through it. and if you shine spark towards it while on the ramp you will speed boost off of it, and if you charge again at the right time you will charge and fall down without stoping.
