Is it true that after you beat this you unlock the original Metroid? If so, then do you think I should buy this or buy Metroid Fusion, complete that, then hook it up to Prime and unlock the original. And if you don't unlock the original after beating Zero Mission, ignore the above question completly.

it is true that you unlock the original metroid in zero mission, but apparently the resolution of the gba, especially the vertical, doesn't match the nes's, so you would definitely like playing metroid 1 on your gamecube better.
Yes, you can unlock the original in this.

Your second question, that's a little harder to answer.  I'd say buy both, but if you can only get one, I think Zero Mission is a better game than Fusion.

The emulator they use for Metroid looks to be the same NES emulator they used for the GBA NES emulation in Animal Crossing. I don't know if that means anything, but I thought I'd point that out.
