If it's truly in her skin (It killed the parasites that latched onto her spine so that's a yes), why doesn't it show when you lose and the power suit blows off? It just shows Samus in a blue outfit, no blue flesh on her body. If the Metroid DNA is truly part of her, why doesn't it show up on her body?

Well, the X were a part of her, and she isn't yellow (her skin isn't "yellow",). What if it was just inside her or something? What I think of is blood is a part of you (I would hope), and your skin isn't red, is it (I would hope not)? Either that or they just didn't take this into consideration or they didn't want her to look like a B-Movie monster.

Ok then, if the Metroid is in her without affecting her body, then why is her power suit mostly blue!? Obviously, the Metroid DNA altered her appearance. How come it only affected her power suit but not her skin? It's suppost to be INSIDE her, not just on her power suit.

hm, isn't that a new suit the federation gave her?

remember, they surgically removed the old one and it became SA-X. i would think that after removing the suit, Samus would be just suitless.

They removed large portions, they didn't take the whole suit off. While Samus was unconscious, that was impossible. Some plating under the infected areas were still on her, that's why she takes more damage in this game because the armor isn't as thick. The blue portions are the effects of the Metroid DNA, note the Metroid teeth-like extensions.

Samus also has Chozo DNA in her body. Does she look anything like a bird? Have you seen any feathers?

Anyway, I've always had more trivial questions about Samus's Metroid DNA:

Will she be able to eat icecream?
What does this mean if she ever gets a Vhozon for a boyfriend?

And so on.

I always figured that Samus's Fusion Suit was simply the organic portions of her suit (which interface with her cellular makeup), and as you go through the game the suit regenerates the non-organic components, gradually regaining its normal appearance to the point that it starts to look very similar to the Power or Varia Suits at the game's end.

So let me get this straight. Samus has Metroid DNA injected into her but only her POWER SUIT is affected? It showed a picture of Samus with her power suit dramatically cut down right before they proposed the Metroid DNA and there was NO blue whatsoever on her suit.

It's quite simple. Samus's central nervous system was affected by the x. To get rid of the x, the metroid vaccine was injected into her. Because her suit is infected, they most likely gave her the new suit, the fusion suit. Because of the vaccine, she can now absorb x (and the only reason she can is because the game designers needed some way for samus to restore health, missles, and abilities), without being harmed.

Power Suit was Chozo technology to begin with, GF could hardly make something similar, let alone a functional replica.

BTW, has anyone here ever watched, say, LEXX? Because to me, it seems like the Power Suit is kinda... alive?

They didn't give her a new power suit, that is her power suit. Don't try telling me the blue is suppost to be on her suit, because they wouldn't have spine extensions that look like Metroid teeth on her arms if it was.

fusion suit = zero suit + mods. a new experimental armcannon. however the defense field gen and microfusion core remain uninfected because of the shield is going to be most powerful at the source and the micro fusion (or what ever the hell the Chozo uses for their suits) will have craploads of radiation. so they are taken out to be use with the zero-suit as well as a new helmet and life-support system. BUT the ENTIRE suit was removed with surgery because it was impossible to remove it any other way with Samus being uncontentious. but she takes the same damage as she would with just the powersuit
