Hi everybody; I'm new here but I'm not new to the Metroid franchise.
Cutting straight to the point, I found this little thing that blocks your progression of the game in Norfair in the room that's right of the elevator room that goes up to Brinstar. If you don't have the Power Grip, one of those purple balls that have to be eaten by bugs will be placed right next to the door on the right side of the room and it will deny you entrance into the next room.
In addition, this is the first time I have ever seen something like this placed in any Metroid game to intentionally block the progression of the game.
I hope somebody finds this useful and pleasing to know.
