What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
So far, I'm well into Bryyo, about an 1:48 in, 13%.  I've just killed
Rundas.

How far is everyone else?

I'm still trying to sequence break the line at the game store.  It isn't working. :(
Well I got to Bryyo and after taking the wrong way, I ended up killing some dinousaur like creatures in a place were there is a broken golem statue, I cant get back and I cant get further, although roll jump works
it doesn't give you enough distance.

And I cant get to the ship, its a big gap and I dont have the equipment to use the little yellow dimond wich I suppose you use to get to the ship.

Help please!!

In the room past the broken golem, there's a pretty well hidden Morph Ball tunnel.

thanks I saw that rock looking funny, but I wasn't thinking at the time.

I just beat Mogenar at the Bryyo Seed, and got the Hyper Ball or whatever it's called...  I can't believe they actually showed Samus's face--and her vomiting!  But anyhow, I'm still trying to get a jist on how exactly the Ice Missiles effect enemies.  It almost seems random.
I'm in Bryyo and have gotten to the third docking point and gotten into the room with all the fuel gel turbines etc. but have absolutely no idea what to do. I see a damaged pipe but no matter how many missles I shoot at it, it doesn't fall. there is also a set of two fuel gel streams and when you shoot them it starts swinging back and forth but I didn't see anything change.

I know I need either the plasma beam, gunship upgrade, ice beam or something else to continue. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Yeah same thing happened to me, here's what you do:

The piepe is nothing, I suppose you have to bomb it with morph ball bombs, but the 2 gel streams, shoot them both and they will swing back and reveal a platform, go to the door and enter the morph ball hole, let the vermins stick to you and they will kinda inflate and the ball will start floating, enter the tunnel above and follow it to the missile door...
Just beat
Meta-Ridley for the first time
and then my Wii-mote batteries died! :( Can't play again until Wednesday now...

that sucks, those Nykon charge stations really have been a good investment for me, but to each his own.
Heh, yeah. There were zero extra AA batteries in my entire house. A charge station is sounding very tempting right now. Oh well, more time to hear about any tricks/sequence breaks.  Wink

I don't feel so bad now... I missed that same morph ball tunnel.

Currently, I'm about 3:11 in with 20%. Still on Byyro at the moment, but I've:

Taken out one of the two shield generator things. That missile tower that the pirates have when they send in the Flying ones was quite annoying. Trying to grapple the three towers while they were resetting them took me ages to get past.

Only two places I've died were there and against Rundus, because I didn't have enough energy to use Hyper Mode more than once.

Edit: Forgot to mention:

I already found one of the ten energy cells we're going to need before the end: It was in the Federation Base on Byyro where you upgrade the Ship's missiles.

Prime Hunter...

I'm exactly on the same part, died on the same places, and for the same reasons...

OMFG!
I just beat Mogenar. It'll be interesting to see how fast that fight can be done in a speed run. :P Should be fun to watch in a low% too.
I'm on mogenar and he's really quite difficult but then again I've been having a lot of trouble throughout the entire game so far (I'm really happy about it truthfully. A game that is semi difficult and yet it's 3d and new.)

Why are spoilers being marked in this topic? There's nothing of use here to people who don't want to be spoiled anyway, so it's just annoying to those who've played the game. Edited the topic title.
Alright... now that the spoiler tags are safe to remove in this topic:

Just landed on Elyssa at 3:37 with 22%. Mogenar took me ages to figure out, and then a few attempts before I was able to get it right.

Interesting cutscene afterwards though concerning Samus taking off her helm and the rest of it, huh? (Not something I EVER expected to see Samus do, but she is human after all. It makes sense to me after what she just went through.)

And did anybody else who's gotten that far notice how Samus took out the Leviathan Seed? Dark Samus 4, anyone???
What's Elyssa like?
Don't know: Stopped as soon as I landed on it because my brother wants the TV for a show in 20 minutes. Might not get the chance to play the game again until the morning depending on when I decide to go to bed.
Damn, the only areas I've seen so far are Skytown, Bryyo, and the crappy-opening-cinematics-area.
Elyssa IS Skytown.
I'm at 2:42 in skytown 15% items mogenar was a fun fight overall. I really have enjoyed this game so far and I really can't wait to do it all over again as it has been tons of fun.
Beat the game tonight. I can't say much about it in here though, so check my other posts if you wish to be spoiled.

I'm seriously taking my time playing the game. I'm at around 2:32 and I'm at a save station in Fiery. That's probably because, however, I'm actually scanning every single thing I find, and reading about it afterwards. Also, I'm doing lots of exploring, so that adds to the time. :P
Currently about 7:40 with 44% and I just landed on the Pirate Homeworld but decided to take a break.

They aren't messing around with the amount of Pirate involvement in this game, which I really like about it. I can't imagine what the game is going to be like with Low% runs, but I am beginning to doubt we are going to be able to skip items very much, if at all. They are using the items' secondary purposes A LOT, and all over the place as well.

On a different note, one of the best parts of the game so far for me was when I was the section near the Seekers: Seeing Metroids in tanks, and knowing that they were going to break out afterwards and attack. First time I've really feared Metroids in the Prime series, as far as I can remember, was during that segment in the Xenolabs area on my way in and out. (They nailed the mood and the music during that part too, in my opinion.) Those Metroids were quite nasty once they started to gang up on me, and again I can't wait to see how much trouble they give me on low% runs.
