I've got about 9 hours on the clock, 40%+ Items, and 70%+ scans, in the fortress (3rd area) not too far before Spider Guardian. Trying to figure out just how the hell you're supposed to scan it  :(
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
Scan it before you go into the morph ball thing; it crawls around the sides of the doors.

For anyone who's stuck on the last boss,

if you beat the 2nd to last boss, then die on the actual last boss, don't reset; choose to continue from your last save and you will be right at the last boss.  However, the next time you load your game or reset, you'll have to fight both bosses again.

Hey thanks for that, RS. I would have never thought. I'm not anywhere near the end of the game, but it will be helpful when I am, I'm sure.
Game clear!

Time: 18:24
Items: 86%
Scans: 94%
Deaths: 10-15

Energy Tanks: 12
Missiles: 205
Power Bombs: 8
Beam Ammo: 250
All Beam Combos

Scans I know I missed:
Research
.Aether Studies
..Aether - 1
..Dark Aether - 1
Lore
.Luminoth Lore
..Conflict
...Second Phase - 1
..History
...Dark Age - 2
...Golden Age - 1
Creatures
.Dark Aether
..Guardians
...Quadraxis - 1
...Amorbis - 1
.Aether
..Mechanoids
...Small - 1
...Stationary - 1
.Offworld
..Pirates - 1
Total - 11

OK, I know how I missed the one on Amorbis...didn't realize there was 2 scans until waaaay later, but for Quadraxis I couldn't find the damned thing! I got 4 of 5, but the 5th one I just have no clue what to aim for.
I have:
Quadraxis
Damaged Quadraxis
Shielded Head Module
Final Head Module
Which one did I miss?
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
Stunned Head Module.

I think that's when the head is dizzy and wobbling around slowly.
Well, there seem to be more and more people finishing the game. So, time for a small "poll". How fast do you guys think the game CAN be finished? Something close to the 1 hour mark of MP (although few people are capable of that feat)... or is it a longer game?
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
It seems much longer.  I'm guessing for 100%, maybe 5 hours or more right now.  I thought I was going pretty quick (but I'm going for 100% scans again), and I'm only starting the 2nd temple at 2:44.
On my hard run, I was at 4 hours when I was about to start the Fortress (Still needed to talk to U-Mos)
Longer? Interesting...

I'm fairly positive it will be longer, due to the lack of any major Sequence Breaking in the game. And if you're talking about 100%, it will be longer too, because I just think it's a longer game.
10:33:20 PM: Nate: 27:41
10:33:23 PM: Nate: 81%
10:33:32 PM: Nate: saaame old music

additionally, i had:
210 missiles,
10 energy tanks,
6 power bombs (four expansions, i suppose),
2 ammo upgrades
and all 3 beam combos.

not bad for doing it mostly on my own, imo. at least, not bad for me. -_-
19:11 with 87%. More than three of those hours were me going somewhere else or talking on the phone or something, I am now starting a hadr game, and I'm going to try to get 100% scans and items in it. Anybody know of all the one time scans? I think the sky temple key clues were one time ones, because after you put a key in, you cant get the clue.
Just a question, but what does 100% scans give you?

I understand 100% items give you a better ending, but do scans really account for anything besides bragging rights?
Boss image gallery.
Ahh, thanks. I'm not particularly interested in Boss Image gallery and as seeing the amount of people here who got 100% scans, I don't think I have the patience to get it if i wanted.

Anyways, I hope to get this game for Christmas and hopefully a few new things will surface and I can start playing hardcore.
Kridly, there is a GF topic on limited time scans that has a lot of them, if not all.
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
10:40 100% items and scans.  Skipping scans and reorganizing my pickup list, I could probably get ~6 hours or less if I'm on a good day..

Go 1000th post!
21:14
94% Items
Somewhere around 96% scans
5 deaths
Time: 17:17
Scans: 92%
Items: 69%
Help From Internet: None

I'm quite proud of my first playthrough. :D
22:3-, 91%. I'm not one for speed when I'm trying a game for the first time. If I go and beat my 2nd run right now, I'll have about 14 hours with 94%. Although unrelated, I'll add this while I'm typing. I found a faster way to get up on the ledge with the waterfall (In Prime 1) after you get the X-ray visor and the nearby Artifact. Jump on top of the alcove that the Artifact was in and (Facing the waterfall) space jump and hit the left ledge. The cinematic will play and you'll get teleported onto the ledge. If this has already been found, I'm sorry (It won't be of much use anyway, 'cause, iirc, you can skip the X-ray)
You need the x-ray to damage the Omega Pirate  Crying or Very sad

And I did notice that trick a while back, but there was another way out of that area without fighting the ghosts that had already been posted if I remember.
Just finished the game.
Time: 13:53

Mission final:

About the same time I used on the original Prime.
15:46
Scans: 89%
Items: 76%

Gotta try a 100% scans/items/hard mode run. And a speed run. Then I'll be happy.
Scans: 70%
Items: 100%

I had a lot of fun with the game.  I did look to the internet for help on missed items though.  A lot of time was spent just admiring the landscapes, messing around and looking for three Sky Temple keys I couldn't find but ended up realizing I already got them.

A friend and I both played the first Prime together and we had already racked up 68 hours before even getting to Phazon Mines.  My first time playing it alone I got 24 hours.

In my opinion, Prime 2 was easier to beat, but more fun to play.
  Can't wait for Prime 3.
