First off i just wanna say hi to everyone out there, this is my first post ever on this forum. I've been on this site and watched the forum for prob more then a year. I dunno why i havent registered with forum or anything. Bah well anyways moving on...

Anyhow ya I just got done with a speed run i'v been working on, and was attempting the pogo omega metroid trick(which is like a coin toss for me to complete). Unfortunately i didnt get it this time, or rather couldnt get the spark. Well for kicks and giggles i decided i'd try to jump over him to the back, and well it worked! I managed to get to the other side of that big creature by just being really careful space jumping over him. Then he did his pogo thing as usual.  Well not sure if this is news to anyone, but i searched for this on the forums, and double checked to movies to make sure there wasnt anything on this yet. If there is im sorry, its just something i discovered about 15 mins ago lol.

I've done it that way too, since I didn't like the spark method :)

I had him jump prob 10-15 times lol, i had only like a min and a half to beat him once i was done. I just wanted to see how many times i could make him jump. :).

pretty nice discovery...send it in...but i prefer the spark method

Well, I'm not saying don't even try to record and send it in, but I just don't see a real purpose as it doesn't actually speed up the game or accomplish a ral goal besides humor. Novelty tricks like this should be a reward for effort, if you find an easier way through your own effort congrats, and then allow others to find it themselves.

Wow this got into a arguement about sending a vid in with it, thats unfortunate really. To some the method i did could be seen as easier then the pixel perfect method, honostly. But if your a speed runner im sure your not even going to bother with either method, because is just a 'look at what i can do' thing. I personally dont care weither someone does send in a vid of this, it doesnt really matter. I just wanted everyone to know, if they didnt already, that there was a potentially easier way to get this trick done. So if you were trying to get it done with the shinespark and failed, you know you have a second option to do it, if you are showing off for friends.
