thats the one that catches me too. I think that one is the hardest one.

2nd hardest would be the green laser emitter that you have to wall jump to not touch. I cant ever get that one...

but other than that they are all pretty easy. its just those 2 spots.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Yeah that first guy's a bitch to pass undetected, I still can't do it. All the other's though are pretty easy to dodge.
Oh yeah, i forgot about that other spot.

The first guy, then the one you are crawling, then you fire to break the blocks, then you wall jump and you dont hit the stupid laser sensor thingie. I only did that correctly ONCE. I have NEVER, repeat NEVER gotten past the first guy undetected.
I'll be back. Maybe...
I've often done all the rest, even the green beam and wall jump are no problem really, compared to that first one. And it makes the music go bad, as well... The only time I ever got past it, I was using frame-by-frame and savestates. I'd hack it out of the game if I knew how... but then I'd also move one of the Missile Tanks in Fusion two blocks to the left, and do many other awful things to the game.
What missle tank in Fusion are you speaking of? I don't personally recall any hard items in FUSION.

Yeah I forgot to mention the music part, that thing with the vibes are awesome.
I'd guess he's referring to the essentially unskippable tank in PYR, though I don't remember the screen well enough to figure if two blocks would be enough.
Bob is perfect the way he is.

I'm sure it would be, it'd be just enough distance to allow a skip.

I have fear! Must avoid the terrible wrath of the dinosaur of green-spotted eggs whose number is 348!
*gets back on topic*

How are you actually meant to avoid that pirate? Do you have to shoot exactly as your gun passes the corner when it exactly starts to turn away?
And could Nintendo have intended it to be impossible to pass that pirate without triggering the alarm?

I guess that if they did, they failed once again at something like this... :P

Can't be, since in the ZM section of M2k2 there's Terrence's Perfect Stealth; i.e. it's perfectly doable; needs skill and precision timing, but it is doable in the end.
I've did him, and I would have done a perfect stealth if I got that green beam WJ down.
Can anyone explain it? How to do it?
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Well, sneak past the first pirate requires exact timing of the shot, I believe you need to shoot him as he's turning away, he should be facing the screen. As for the rest, it's mostly memorization of Pirate positions and patience.
I cannot figure out that first ass pirate.

Didn't Nintendo intend you to require Space Jump to get Screw Attack in SM? SA first is perfectly doable and not so difficult there either..

Only via the Green Gate Glitch, though.  Terence's vid didn't seem to involve anything like that, just precision.  I'm inclined to think that if it were intended that you be forced to trip the alarm there that that Pirate wouldn't turn around at all.  I haven't watched the clip or played that part of the game in a while, though.
I still cannot figure out how to do dis crap.

Step 1: Spell
Step 2: Don't be stupid. Break the habit.
Step 3: How freaking random is that.
Step 4: Eat tomato paste, milk, and sponges.
