Actually I just tested it on NTSC. You can go into the save room instead and give yourself more run up and then jump and you make it onto the normal ''safe'' part of the wall. But it's still risky because you have to time the jump when you leave the door transition which can be difficult. I still don't think that the whole thing would save any time though. You'd lose a bit of time in the shreik bat room before the long speed boost room because of not having high jump boots. from then on though it's ok. 

Well that works on PAL too and isnt that hard to time the jump as I thought it would be. Trouble is though once you make the jump you have to stay on the wall for a bit to let the flying thing pass because one of them swoops down right to where your going to wall jump next.

Well you can charge your beam up. LOL and somersault it to death
I think the bats are not problem, actually i think it`s easier because when you enter that room withouth the high jump boots it`s easy to land on the second bubble of the second plataform and not be hit by the bats fragments. Enter that room aiming and charging up to shoot the first bat as soon as you enter, jump and shoot the second bat and when still in the air, aim up and shoot to clean the way up. The rest is easy as you just have to jump and wall jump, what i think it`s not that slow. Any way, i started another 100% run just to correct some mistakes and add some new tricks and i was thinking in using this route. Once this part is done i`ll be abble to compare both and see the diferences.

Well its definitely possible to get through the bubble room like that but, the bat room and the Wave Beam room are a pain in the ass as well. I honestly don't think its that much faster on console conditions if at all.

Surely wave beam room is easier without the high jump boots. you can make longer jumps without them.

The problem is to get out of there wall jumping on the head thats on the left. But with some training youll see its not problem. I surprised myself by doing it the first time i tried.

Yea was thinking about taht bit as well actually when you leave wave beam room with the spitting creatures. yea the jumps have to dealt with with wall jumps. Another section that is slower. The whole thing must make it a slower option

TASers only do it because they are TASers. I actually think for console conditions it would be slower because there is no room for error. Yea I was gonna mention that as well Behemoth.

Yea in a TAS you can make this option faster because of no error. But due to the difficulty of it on console your bound to scre something up.

Anyway it's not like getting back up from high jump boots room is slow anyway
Anyway, i`ll test the route and try to mesure the time to know for sure.

If it's done all correctly I would imagine that there isn't hardly anything in it time wise. If anything it's probably slower

Ahh of course the jump back up from colloecting wave beam. Duh it finally clicked in me LOL. That would undoubtedly ruin this route.

Ah yes I use to try this some time ago. You could get damage boost off the firball and trigger shinespark up. I remember failing because I was either too slow at the whole process or my shinespark flash time run out. I'm gonna try again

Honestly I think its slower but, I just thought it would be cool to post. Its a prototype version. I'm not sure where to get it. My brother found it a couple weeks ago. I think you can play it with 1.51 though.

I ltterally typed in snes emulator and found the website where you download them.

It might be quick if you time the run into the door as its opening by your power bomb though. but yea it might be slower

Not only do I think its probably slower but, the Super Short Charge must be perfect. Also have you ever tried the Super Short Charge at the Refill Station going to Maridia. If you didn't know Hotarubi attempted it in his 0:31 Any% Run. I hate that Super Short Charge due to the stupid door transition.

I live in New York and its 3:57 AM right now.

hehe I woke up 2 hours ago.

I can get super short charge there yea. And you'll be unleashing it to the right. Im not sure of its that much quicker. Its really hard to open the next door without crashing into it. A bit like missle lake on NTSC. Same priciple
