Did the Grapple Voltage work on Phaz-ing to begin with, or did you need the Hyper Grapple for that? Because if you needed it, at least that item has ONE really nice, fun, and helpful use....
Yeah, but I think the normal voltage works on Phaz-ing anyway, so it doesn't really mean much. >_>
If that's true, then there are only two things in the game the hyper grapple can be used on that I know of... And I don't mean two object types, I mean two uses on the same object type.
I thought in this game the hint system was what you get when you press the '2' button.
But actually, I think it is outside of the usual messages samus recieves. If you wander around for long enough or keep going between the same rooms over and over the aurora unit or whoever will say "maybe you should go somewhere else." This happened to me before and after beating ghor- I wandered around for a while, knowing I was supposed to find ghor but having no clue where to look, then I eventually started getting those ship taking damge messges. After that, I wandered around skytown after fixing the aurora's network or whatever for like 20 minutes before I got a message telling me maybe I should try another planet. Perhaps it will turn at least the latter off, because the latter happened in prime 1 and 2 if you were idle or stuck for a while.
The totally unexpected snow area... the phendrana drifts music remix is amazing, the art is amazing. The chozo statue facing the bryyo statue... really beautifully done. When people gripe about the graphics in this game it makes me sad... for them. because of how stupid they are. :(
Just finished the game (lolfinally) with 98% items. Forgot to look at the time, but I will when I turn the thing back on again. Thought the final boss fight was great, though I always love easy final bosses for some reason.
The game began to drag near the end and got very boring after the return to the Pirate Homeworld. I think this is partially due to the fact that every freaking color on the screen was some sort of red, and that just made the game look very tiresome. I had fun in Phaaze, though; it definitely tops whatever Echoes had before the final boss (I can't even remember), but it doesn't top Prime's Impact Crater.
Does anyone know of a way to reveal all the suit upgrades in the Pirate Homeworld? I know you can reveal the ones in Norion, Bryyo, and Elysia but haven't found a way to show the Homeworld ones-- I've gotten all the upgrades from all three other planets (and Valhalla), so I'm assuming they're there.
On the observatory thing is a patch of phazite. Use the nova beam/xray to hit a switch within, which opens up the interior and allows you to hit a hand scanner.

Go back to the Chozo Observatory, get to the bottom of the room (where you used the ship grapple to lift up the pillar in the middle) and look for the Phazonite Wall plating. You'll know what to do after that point.
Europe finally gets Metroid Prime 3 Corruption :) My impression so far:
I think its megacool that Retro offer us to chose the sensitivity you desire. It gave me a good opportunity to mess around a bit with the different settings. I immediately picked 'advanced' because you obviously move a lot faster and more freely. However, so far, I have disabled free-aim lock thingy. I think thats because Im still too used to the old locking system. This might interest speerunners: I defeated Berserker in less than 30-35 seconds. Dont know what the record is. But once I took care of his two shoulders, I could freely fire at its head without it turning back, reloading its red shoulder thingy. I think Beserker reloaded once in craztads test run. Have anyone done this before?
