Nova Beam welds?

i was just thinking, since you never go to generator b, you dont have to weld it with the plasma, so, wait to get the nova bea and see if you can weld it with the nova beam, by the way, you weld right in front of the door leading to generator b

Nova Beam does weld, as it is mentioned in the game somewhere that all the beams abilities are kept through the beam upgrades, hence, welding from Plasma is kept for Nova.

It would be stupid if it didn't, since not being able to would essentially cut off an area from the player if they hadn't welded the door to Generator B before getting the beam.

Note that this not how you would do it normally. The only file I had that didn't have all "welds" completed was my 17% moon jump run (accidentally picked up an E tank on my way here lol). Turns out that I forgot to remove those "grapple panels" that block the morph ball tunnel so I had to moon jump around and use the broken loading sequence in the game to get these photos.

I walked into the room THROUGH the door that this "weld panel" normally opens and that is why there is no gate on it. Strangely enough even with the gate non-existent the completion of this panel led to a demo scene...where Samus looked at a door that just stood there.

that looks pretty awesome, (pretty stupid idea) i thought that when you weld with the nova beam itll change into plasma beam and weld and you can do 17%? wat items do you get when you do 17% percent

Can only do 17% using cheats with GeckoOS (basically homebrew for Wii, requires Twilight Princess to get installed but after that you can cheat on any game).

Anyway I messed up with my 17% run and got 2 items that are NOT on the required list. You can actually do a 15% or lower. No idea how this game counts % as there are 17 entries below.

Missile Item (these will open both red missile and white missile doors)
1 Energy Tank (forced on you unless you can SW around it)
Grapple Lasso
Command Visor (you must get this visor for Ship Grapple)
PED Suit
Boost Ball
Plasma Beam
Ship Grapple
Seeker Missiles (required to destroy Elsya Seed)
Hyper Missiles (never used but needed to activate Pirate Homeworld)
Grapple Voltage (non-Hypermode)
X-Ray Visor
Nova Beam
2 Energy Cells (You are FORCED to get these via Multi Missles & Morph ball entrance at Pirate Homeworld)

I don't have anything that can record video at decent quality. I could use my camera but it is designed for taking photos so it doesn't record video all that well and it also doesn't directly connect so you'll see reflections off of the screen.
