No power grip

So, I was playing today, and i decided to try to beat the game without getting the power grip, am i wasting my time trying to do this or is it possible?
(i am currently in "Kraid's lair" and i just got out of the Rio Room.

also, if i do manage to get to Motherbrain and get out, will suitless samus have the powergrip? and do i need it to finish the game?

This not possible, because you not can beat norfair without power grip.

why not? wouldn't you be able to bombjump anywhere the powergrip can get you to?

You not can break tentacle.
Tentacle disappear when you get power grip.

my goal in life, is to get around that...
bleh... time to mess around. maybe there is some way around it...
if i can't, then oh well...

anyone use any kind of walk to walls code to get around it?
i'm curious if suitless (zero suit?) samus will have the power grip.
because i don't think it's possoble to beat the end of the game without it.

Maybe it only checks for the Space Jump and not the Power Grip... so you could try to skip the Power Grip after getting Space Jump. But I suppose that has already been tried.

Zero Suit Samus has the Hi Jump, even if you didn't collect it. So Power Grip might be included as well.

You don't need a walk through wall code, if you cheat yourself some Power Bombs and go to Norfair via Kraid (and exit the same way if the plant thing is still there).

Not working guy.

Tentacle not disappear if you get only Unknow item, but you don,t get power grip.

i tried everything i can think of to get around it.... unless there is an early powerbomb, it's not possible...
but i still want to know if zero suit samus gets the powergrip automatically

The are three powerbomb candidates. The one in Crateria, the one in Norfair and the one in Tourian. The one in Norfair can't be accessed if you can't even access Norfair and even that it's impossible to reach it in the boiling lava. The one in Crateria doesn't exists in the non-rainy roomstate, even if you could get past the powerbomb blocks. The one in Tourian is under Mother Brain. Which of course can't be gotten, unless you beat Mother Brain, but you can't beat Mother Brain without beating Ridley and for that you have to go through Norfair which you cannot.

That leaves you with no other choice but to cheat yourself the power bomb you need to get to Norfair via Kraid.
