How- Grab a shinespark at the bottom of the large shaft like what Sess did at room G then go to the lowest wall at the shaft and shine up

Vid please!
Thread title:
I'm pretty sure Sess already did that in a vid.
Time bomb set get out fast!
He did -- that was the reason his detour into the right-hand room saved time.  Do you mean something other than what Sess did, Mr. Aran?
i will be the first to tell you, that shinespark did not save any time. it was just because he could, to astonish viewers and give them something memorable to take away from that episode. apparently, it worked!
Screw the jump extend... we want shinesparks that're slower than the normal method!

oh, i think i see now ... it's a spark up the long shaft? unless it goes all the way up, i don't think it would be faster ... i nominate ekarderif to test.

it does  :D
Sess does it in his run...
...I don't understand what point you're referring to.  I can't view Sess's meltdown segment from here, but my recollection, aided by the commentary, is that he charges a shine there twice, both coming and going.  The first time he uses it to go horizontally, toward the boiler room.  The second time he uses it to go straight up the long shaft on the return from there, as you seem to be suggesting.  What other time are you suggesting that it be used, other than in a 100% run after getting the other powerups down there?

Arg. I always discover these moves that are already known

Because the same cause happened to me in this topic
Time bomb set get out fast!
Boy, some people around here -- (COUGH)NATE(COUGH) -- haven't been re-watching Sess enough lately.  Or reading his commentaries, where he himself explains that the horizontal shinespark wouldn't save time on its own, but allows you to do a vertical one later that does save time.

Some people.
rape rape, what do you say to this?
I don't think it saves time either.

I love how Ekard has become the Fusion info master even though he doesn't like the game at all.

that, like the no-caps typing style and the removal of sentence subjects i consider obvious (such as "i"), was copied from kip.

and ekarderif, do you really have nothing to say about this? it's important to know whether or not it actually saves time.
everybody knows it's true
Ekaderif, no need to make the vid.

Since Sess already did the move on his Demo, mind as well use it

#15, then go four minutes into the movie.

I timed WD's segment when it was first released, and in the end the shinesparks waste a second... excluding the fact that WD didn't use the jump extend. The spark upwards saves about a second, but doing it during the the timer wastes more than 2.
