Ok, so I've been playing this game almost none stop for about a month... working on a single segment 100%  (getting there... it's on cart  Wink ) And I found that, while running out of the lava filling room right after the speed booster. You have to go get the wave beam first. You can hold a boost 'just' long enough to boost through the door right after the lava filling room.  As you are running away from the lava, shoot after going up the last hill (after the 9th crumble bridge coming from the speed booster) and it should open the door for you.  "Right" as you go through the door, hit down.  You shouldn't hear the charge sound, but you should come out on the other side crouching and with a charge. quickly fire diagonal down to get rid of the first block, drop down and  land to the right.  Shoot diagonal down again to shoot the other block AND open the door at the same time (you have to shoot twice because of the skree) quickly drop down, and when you get level with the door, speed dash to the left.  It should carry you across past the grapple points and to the green door.  Past the door you can find two missile packs and a reserve tank.

I will hopefully have a zsnes movie of it shortly (I have to play to that point right now to get it) Email me at Eruditious@excite.com if you want it. (or stick around here... I will probably put it on some free site and link ya)

Here is a link for ya: http://www.angelfire.com/dragon2/eruditious/Super_Metroid__JU_.zmv

::Sorry for the double post::
Just wanted to let you guys know I linked the movie.
That's pretty cool dude... I gotta try that sometime

Personally, I just freeze the waver, and use him as a platform to get up to that door ;) Less stressful :P
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
Or just go there after leaving Lower Norfair so you have the Space Jump to get through and back easier/probably faster.

That's what I do. Still, neat trick, although getting the timing on the door right is quite hard to me :P
yeah... the timing was quite difficult....  :D  Took me about 4 tries to get it on the emulator (I originally did it on console, and I had to get used to the emu controls... blah)

Oh yeah, now I can really reply to this topic. ^^

This was something I was initially trying, and had done it a few times, but the extra Missiles and Reserve didn't really help me, and it took longer to go through the rooms early on, so I don't do it in my vid, neither does Smokey in his.
K.  :D  I actually looked for it ;)  Your 100% was quite differnt from what I have seen before... I really enjoyed it.

Thanks, that's what I was going for.  :o
