Hopefully they can make it so the beam ammo refills at a decent rate. Maybe 2 units per second. But still, the gameplay should be a little better. That and the fact that i still have trouble finding a comfortable way to move around in the fps environment(first hunt: demo). Anyways, im sure Nintendo will have modified this game even more, and the wifi might give me a better reason to buy it. I guess pinball will have to do for now.
Ahh thats a smart idea. It's like regenerating energy so that the beam fire is controlled. Just like firing a large machine gun. I can over heat if you hold the trigger too long.

Also i like the Electro lob/shot gun and the Sniper rifle sorta thing.
Yes, the Power Beam ammo was taken out. I assume because people were complaining. I don't have any problems with the more powerful guns having ammo, however.

Also, did people notice how Samus can use the power beam as some sort of machine gun? A guy I know of played the PAX demo, and here's what he said:

You can do short rapid fire burst, now. If you time it properly, it becomes one long stream.

....so it seems if you time your firing right, the projectile changes. Sounds good, yes?
lol no way

we had a metroid pfishics topic some where.
"Pfishics"?

Actually, he's referring to the way the fish in Samus's varia suit shoulder pads work to keep her out of harm. I know someone that drew up a diagram, but I'd need permission to use it.

I thought about for a few minutes before posting this: because of the wifi in Mario Kart: DS was sort of on the broad side, do you think that the wifi for Metroid Prime Hunters will be any good? I mean, i personnaly havent tried wifi... yet, but ive heard that its not so up-to-date with MK.

Then again, they might have time to improve it over AC: DS and around a month later for MPH's. We'll just have to see...

I'd imagine that the "kinks" experienced with MK will be streamlined out for Hunter's release. No doubt NST are observing the data fed to them (regarding server performance, lag issues etc), and will incorporate that into streamlining Hunters online playability. I don't think I'd be too affected if there were any minor lag issues, as my broadband has more than sufficient reliable upstream and downstream data rates to reduce the lag as much as possible (if my experiences online with Mario Kart DS is anythinig to go by). :)
