Sounds cool, though I don't get what's so great about the graphics being better than a last-generation game's. Just proves that the Wii has last-gen graphics. >_>
There are no new details in those articles unfortunately, but it is interesting that 2 new news pieces came out the same day. A quick look at Google news shows that nothing else has.
The release date dance for the game is a bit troubling: - it was originally a launch title - next it was a Q1 07 release (Nov Nintendo Power said "Winter 07" and there was a 4-6 month job posting for an animation artist which would end in Jan-Mar 07 once filled) - then published release dates from Nintendo excluded Corruption, not even listing it as TBA - now one of these articles is saying "after march", (hopefully sooner than later!)
If they are delaying it to add WiiConnect24 stuff (which itself is not finished), further overhaul the game engine for the Wii, or even add multiplayer (up from Echoes), well that's just fine. At this stage, they should have a pretty good estimate of the release date. So why not make that public? I can understand multiple and unforseen delays in a game to make it even better (e.g. LoZ:TP). Hopefully we'll have something concrete by mid-March.

that reminds of Twilight Princess. Hopefully the game will be released before 2008 (seriously!)
A few months ago, I would have said that the longer they delay it the better (so they could make the gameplay better), but after playing TP, all the extra wait time didn't really seem worth it. Though, I suppose if they hadn't delayed TP, it may have been absolutely terrible.
It really depends on what they were doing during the extra year they had for Zelda. I'm not sure exactly what was done once they delayed it, but I feel that whatever it was was worth it to me. (This, mind you, is coming from a fan who thinks TP is the second best Zelda game ever, and that it comes very close to OOT's magic in a lot of respects.)
If the same sort of thing happens with Corruption due to the delay, then at this time I believe it will be worth it. I do miss not having it at launch (Or anytime soon apparently), but when it comes it should be well worth the wait. Nintendo hasn't really let me down before, and I have confidence they won't do it now.
In a way, I wouldn't mind if it doesn't come out until the end of April/early May, because that's when the semester ends. (My classes begin on Monday.) I want plenty of time to contribute to the hunt for SBs and Speed Tricks when the game is released.
Yeah, it'd be nice to have it at the start of summer rather than earlier. Things are looking like I'll easily be very busy with my current games until then, seeing as I can take months to finish just one.
This year is going to be crazy when it comes to games, especially if these four all come out around the same time: (The four I want the most, if you couldn't tell.)
- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - Spore - Super Mario Galaxy - Super Smash Bros. Brawl
If that somehow happens, which I highly doubt, I'm going to have a hard time choosing which one I want to play the most. It really depends on when they all come out and how busy I am with other things in my life.
As of now, there are unfortunately a few games that I still need to finish but haven't gotten around to yet. Once ANY of these come out it's only going to get worse for those other games.
Edit: It also depends on how much money I have when these come out, because that determines if I can even get all four of these when they are released. (Good thing I plan on finally getting a job this summer, because it looks like I'm going to need it, and this is not even considering what else I may need money for.)

The only problem with jobs is that they suck up all the time you'd otherwise be playing your shiny new games with.
if there was going to be a second Metroid game out this year, i would choose a 2D Metroid over another Prime any day of the year.
the DS won't surpass the GBA overall until it gets a 2D Metroid game.
not that i hate prime or anything but the last 2D Metroid game came out almost 3 years ago while the last Prime came out barely 1 year ago.
about TP and the delays, i think that the Zelda team wasted time redoing the game at points. as some know, most of the teams inside Nintendo like to build stuff and then ditch them completely to start over with new stuff. probably they scrapped a lot of stuff and modified TP heavily during the development cycle and that ate up plenty of time.
another theory i have (and my favorite one) is that they got caught up in a SFA-like syndrome like Rare and delayed the game just to polish up the graphics at least once (in 2005 likely, before they made the wii-delay)
then, there's the Wii-related delay which probably only served to held back the release of the game. i bet the GC version was almost ready since like june/july but the presence of the wii version and it's added development cycle got the game delayed like that.
or in the end, it's the good old "we're too old for this" and they are just slow.
