This must be VERY GOOD TIME!. 
I watch scarlet 29 min video and it looks very good. I think this must be really darn fast run. Chris knight is probably best nes player ever. He have insane SMB 2 time and insane Nes Metroid time.
I promise watch that when somebody fixed my videoplayer. Hopefully that man post his time on youtube.

I just finished watching it. It was so great run. I like especially his ridley lair part, he have last energy before Ridley. So great run, probably looks better than Dragondarch 100% run.

Talk about irony: my internet goes down a few days so I decide to finally give the 2-boss record a shot in my spare time (midterm break at UBC). I beat it in a practise run, clocking in at 27:41, then when my internet comes back up I find that 2 days previous an absolutely outstanding run that blows my time out of the water is up. And I'm nowhere near good enough to challenge that time.
But it's extremely awesome to see Metroid get some attention. For a long time there was no interest in running this game and the run quality wasn't as good as it is in the other Metroid installments. Bravo!

I tried this run several times a couple years ago on the ZM version (I kind of assume it's close enough to be comparable as long as I don't claim a record on it). I got about 35, generally. I think I took the time to kill the metroids every time, though. I also took the time to freeze kraid's spikes, and I also didn't usually get lucky enough to have Ridley fling the fireballs far.
This has been my favorite game to learn the patterns of enemies in a speedrun. I remember looking over Scarlet's 2 item technical demonstration and cringing because she didn't appear to have learned the rooms very much. >_<
