i watched the run just some hours after it was posted in the site.

it was like 4 am when i saw the run. bad sleeping habits i've got recently :p

anyway, congrats on the run. it looked very clean imo. i'm always happy to see new speed runs, especially in Metroid games.

Sigh, aj's 10 percent hard run is only about 4 minutes slower than my anypercent normal...

Considering I've beaten the game like... well, probably tens of multiples of the times you have, do NOT feel bad at all about it. At least you've had a social life, eh? (Please don't shoot down my assumption, it would ruin the point of this post >_>). There are some benefits to not speedrunning, haha.

just watched the run. while I knew that the super missile/missle for the ten percent would be faster, I never would of thought that it could make that much of a difference in everything (seeing how much easier certain segments were with the super opposed to the extra missile pack were astounding)

but the best part about watching it would be how everything is done so smoothly (there were times that I thought I was watching emu manipulation to the nth degree. yes. that smooth) but I guess that comes with the kind of experience that ajbolt89 has. seeing this run is a very big reason not to watch stuff that is tool assisted, as the hard work done for this run definetley shows.

Gee, I spent about ten minutes trying to figure out how to say that, but decided it might seem insulting or something.  But that was exactly what I was thinking as I was watching, that it was inhuman.  In a good way, of course.

Just finished watching it last night.  AJ is a machine.  He's got the devil's luck working for him, I'd swear. 

Question:  How is it that the chozo ghost didn't fire at you at all?

Basically always stay moving and it never shoots, except for at the last stage when it does the centered lightning.
Scarlet taught me that a while ago, I think.

Yeah, I actually used to know how to play this game eons ago.  I don't remember crap anymore; have to dl a run just to remember where some items are.

oh snap Aj, I didn't know you had totally raped zero mission so many times, when I ran into you in other places you always seemed like just another metroid fan ^_^
