I find one 100% TAS run on youtube. He use different route than WR player.

This run is TAS but it is pretty slow TAS run. His run looks like human skills possible. His clear time is 54.08.

Last escape was pretty darn slow on TAS. His escape was 4.02 time left and my best escape on console is 2 seconds faster than his TAS ( My best Chozodia escape is 4.04.1x time left and SPidey Widey is 0.20 seconds faster than me). Yeah this is pretty human skill run expect power grip pit. Annoying there are only 7 part +last escape available.

I don,t know is it his route faster than WR route, but it pretty interesting route and this run looks human skill possible.

I don,t see idea why he get varia suit early because i don,t watched all segments yet.

But probably this video includes couple new speedtrick and probably better route.

EDIT:
His must be back Ridley lair later game i think it made game slower, but there is many faster place if you use that route. If route itself is slower than WR route, there are still probably couple good time saver solved out on console.
Thread title:
I know this guy, he also tried to make a Super Metroid any% TAS, but didn't quite realize he's got to take Varia suit. He also makes a lot of effort to rip off some of Saturn's and Hero of the day's actions without understanding half of them.

Haven't watched his MZM TAS yet, though.
Wow, that was weird. I was watching that segment you posted and saw TONS of things he didn't do. I don't get it, lol. And why was he blowing up the pirates with missiles?

I'm gonna watch the others now.

Edit: meh, I'm seeing more and more mistakes. >_> He probably hasn't seen the latest runs. Or is just lazy and wanted to TAS 100% without much trouble, which is still interesting. :P

YouTube won't let them. And GoogleVideo isn't as popular, though it allows such long videos.
I know him. He's also putting up a 0% Fusion... You're right his run is quite slow, though. He happened to do Ridley first, which as far as I know can wreck a 100%.

The only reason he was able to get that time with all of the ridiculous mistakes was because he played this on easy mode, which makes the clear time even more disgraceful.

i watched the first part of this last week or something and was really unimpressed.. mostly because he didn't seem to know what he was doing. he'd have a room or two of TAS-esque stuff and then some silly mistakes. it was like he was going for the middle ground between a console run and a TAS run. i remember he got the varia suit, too. nate and i were really surprised by that. i didn't see the rest of it so i can't comment on the route - up to that point i believe it was the proper 100% route.

It was ok... and Yea Googlevideo is more unpopular..

I beat MZM without TaS.. and my comments are the same as the last few previeous ones.

That's right. Until recently, it was granted only after filling the application. Besides, it wouldn't matter for those who are going to release a new WIP right after it's done, as opposed to when the whole thing is done.

Kind of looks to me that he basically shut himself up in a cyber cave and TASed it based on his findings in the game. He missed several shortcuts any speedrunner has gone through. He did use some interesting moves though that I think are pretty beauty neat. I haven't tried the shinespark path to the Crateria Peanut Butter tank he uses, but it's probably not too bad to do on the console. Then again, this requires diving for the etank in the lake early, right? Not sure on the time difference, though it may not be all that much. It may even be possible that space boosting through that cavern to the tank and getting the PB tank after Tourian might even be faster (and probably is, if you guys are talking about that route, too).

I finally watch all parts. What i find, annoying there are no all parts available yet.

I think route itself is slower but this run includes lot good stuffs.

Just like his one left side room missile expansion in kraid lair, you can made ball jump quickly and grap ziplines.  It is definitely 1-2 seconds faster method than my.

I think one good time saver is skip first gate/pirate alert on suitless samus part. It save almost 5 seconds game time. I think it is very possible on console. Almost all his TAS tricks is possible doing out on console. I think this run was pretty human skill run.

Route itself is so weird, it is probably very hard get that Chozodia first energy tank without screw attack. And when your must be back Ridley lair again it took lot time.

But definitely this run includes lot good speedtrick. I think it is possible complete 100% in 54 minutes on console.
Could any of this help me with my 100% TAS?
lol, so I tried to play MZM on my keyboard on a rom. Man, that was hard, lol. Suddenly both left and right where registered as right. XD

I couldn't get past the room with the diagonal bomb jump in Kraid first.
Am I the only one with this problem? On emulator, it won't let me aim diagonally and shoot rockets at the same time. It'll let you hold R to make Samus' arm cannon open but it won't let me fire rockets. To aim diagonally with rockets, I have to press a combo of arrow keys which eliminates any possibility of doing it while standing still.
rockets?

are you using a usb keyboard?

Change your control layout. You can only hold a certain amount of keys per key-group. I have no clue as to any specifics, but I have that problem all the time, and the solution is different for each keyboard. I'm guessing your have all ABLR on the left half of the keyboard (tg[b?] and behind)?

I had the same problem. Yoshi found it quite silly.

Your keyboard should bleep at you when you when you hold too many keys (that are close together) at once (such as A+S+X or [Up]+[Left]+\)

It's hardly noticable sometimes. Especially if you have audio playing loudly. I think the keybeep is a set volume, so it's not affected by main volume controls.

Moreover, it comes from the PC speaker.
