you should put your collection up on gamelogs. then you can make a gamelog, which is just a list of games you own, want to buy, etc (here's mine). you also get a cool collection view.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Not bad, Tyjet.  Good luck getting some of them if you ever hope to complete an entire collection. aiwebs_004

And, Ark, just out of curiosity, how does gamelogs deal with games with regionalised names?
red chamber dream
it doesn't. generally whatever name it's submitted under first will be the one i use. i've thought about doing an alternate titles field, but there aren't really enough games with alternate titles to make it that much of a problem. i'll get around to it eventually though.
What'd you say?
I don't think I have the patience/funds for an entire collection, but I think like 200 or so games would be awesome to have.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
I guess it would be cool if you were a mega nerd or something.

..And I am. Your point?
red chamber dream
i'd love to have a complete collection of na gamecube games some day ... don't even have 100 yet though ;(
i have like 8. why the fuck would you want them all?
What'd you say?
Collecting for the sake of collecting? I'm not sure. I'd just like a large catalouge of fun games that I can play whenever I wish.
red chamber dream
that's what i've got now, yeah (i only buy games i intend to play someday). but i dunno, i really like the gamecube and just think it would be cool to have a full collection.
What'd you say?
I ordered four more games to help tie me over until Super Metroid Redesign arrives. These four are:
Desert Strike
Magic Sword
Pitfall - The Mayan Adventure
Super Empire Strikes back

I also added an "in the mail" list to my first post.
What'd you say?
We found a nearby retro gaming store. They had over 100 SNES games, easily 200 NES games, about 100 N64 games, tons of GB/GBA/DS games. The prices were roughly the same as on Ebay or Amazon, but there's no shipping (obviously) so I spent some cash there. I got five games:
Donkey Kong Country
Final Fantasy III - I got a free instruction booklet for this one. The booklet is quite beat up, but hey, it was free.
Killer Instinct - The black cartridge looks awesome.
Tetris 2 - This will be nice for my girlfriend, I'm trying to turn her into a gamer so "causal" games are nice to have.
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

I really liked that store, I'll probably be stopping there more frequently. The lady at the counter said they don't get many SNES games often but still, it's worth an occasional visit.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
DKC, FF, and SMW2 are all excellent. aiwebs_004
What'd you say?
I'm actually starting up FF3 right now.
What'd you say?
Bah, fist boss killed me. I had all three attacks queuing and he popped into his shell . -.-
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Wait 'til later.  Go, go, Intangir. Razz
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Oh wow, that's the first time I've heard of someone getting owned by the snail. That's awesome.
What'd you say?
I was just holding down A while watching a Youtube video. Bad mistake lol. That reminds me of the first boss in FF7 where if you attack while it's tail is up it'll counter attack you with a powerful hit. I died against that mofo tons of times before actually reading the text. Bear in mind I was like 6-7 at the time, but still.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
It is important to read all battle messages in FFVI, that's definitely not the only time ignoring it will get you.
What'd you say?
Thanks for the tip.
What'd you say?
I keep getting my ass kicked, time for a grindfest.
Wish I had a store like that nearby. Sounds awesome.

Quote from Tyjet66:

You shouldn't ever have to grind in that game, if a character has an offensive action other than "Attack" then use that. Terra's magic will one shot everything early on.
Yeah, grinding in FF6 before the WoR is totally pointless.
