Metroid other M is a great game. Not the BEST metroid game ever, but its still a good game in its own light, It really delves deep into Samus's story and Its good for fans who are to damn lazy to read (or translate) the Manga.

What I liked

It borrowed a lot from the 2d Games. Like the Power Grip and the running and gunning.
The story is VERY good
Like Fusion, It shows that a ruthless killer like Samus Aran has a soft side.
I actually expected Adam to be much meaner to Samus. But he wasn’t really mean at all!
I Kinda Think the thumbs down thing that Samus did was very inspiring and a great display of inner strength
The special moves are KILLER!

What I didn’t like

the forced first person mode. I HATE THAT SO MUCH! Its so annoying when you have to find something that is so blended into the background!

The graphics. For a Next Gen console, the graphics look like complete, utter shit.  I mean, It looks like it could have been made for the Nintendo GameCube at LAUNCH. Aliased up the ass, pixilated up the ass, jagged edged up the ass.

I give this game 4 out of 5 stars. While a solid part of the Metroid series, let alone an excellent game, It certainly could have been executed a smidge better.

the Wii is actually a GC with a few more MHZs and RAM so it isn't far-fetched for games to look similar to GC games.
the game looks middle road. not impressive like top games but nowhere rear the real horrid games for the system. have you played trash like my training coach or carnival games?
I think the game looks pretty good.

I like how it looks bright and clean, as opposed to muddy and washed-out like 90% of the wii library.

Art design is a different issue, though.

Once you get past the "Samus character development" it actually is.
The surprise enemies, I was constantly guessing who the "deleter" was, the big twists at the end.

talking about the deleter
it's KG right? in fact.. do anyone know what the hell happened with KG?
No, the deleter
is James. You find his corpse in the bioresearch section right where an earlier cutscene had shown a marine (implied to be the deleter) confronting MB. Also, at that point, the deleter had already stricken his third victim (and disposed of his body by tossing into lava, explaining why KG can't be found), who by process of elimination must be KG since all the other bodies are accounted for.

luckily, M. Night Shyamalan wasn't a writer here. otherwise, it could have been Adam himself.
From my knowledge of Team Ninja, they have the habit to make fluid animation at the cost of the graphic/frame rate. I know Ninja Gaiden 2 had issue with the frame rate in certain part of the game. And they like to put a lot of enemies on-screen for that they needed to lower the graphic at the expense of the action/gameplay.

Metroid other M would like The Last Airbender. That movie was a complete Bastardization of a great TV series.
