I keep wanting to split off the superhero discussion into its own topic and then remembering that I can't do that here. :P
By the way, if I didn't mention before, I really like how your previous two pics (before the Batman one, which I don't comprehend) came out. You've always had a great touch with animals, as you are quite aware of (), but it's nice to see how it's developed over the years.
Speaking of Super Heroes, it's kind of strange that Batman has achieved such a reception, as there's nothing 'super' about him. Perhaps that's the appeal; the thought that 'one man truly can make a difference'.
Just to be clear, I wasn't recommending that it BE split, especially since Bags was clearly OK with it, just commenting on my own impulses toward organization. Such as they are.

This is exactly why I strongly oppose DC/Grant Morrison's recient decision to replace Bruce as Batman. It was by his sheer strength of personality and intelect that he was able to stand by Superman as an equal, and although Dick could come close, I don't think anyone else in the DCU can really do the role justice. There certianly isn't anyone paranoid enough.
I can only hope that this will be temporary, like Jean Paul Valley, as opposed to 'permanent', like say Wally West replacing Barry Allen.
Barry coming back is another thing I object to, incidentally. DC should really talk to me more.
McGinnis also had a fancy suit that meant he didn't have to be as bad ass as Bruce Wayne, and he had Wayne talking him through a lot of stuff (at least as far as I've gotten in Beyond), he also wasn't crazy enough to be as good a detective as Bruce. Though he did have to fight people who were probably more ridiculous than Bruce had to, I'll give that.
I like the style, but I can't decide whether the arms are too humanoid for a wolf or not... Also, the stance is very human, which may not fit.
Keep 'em comin'!
They're supposed to be humanesque. xD It's anthro...ish. >> Like a werewolf. It's actually what a lot of my art these days is. So yes. I was just very proud of this one.
Actually, I feel the opposite of quietus. The head is too canine for a man IMO. It looks more like a hood. Maybe it's supposed to be latching onto the head and absorbing a person, but even then, the hands look like those of a space pirate.
Other than the off-putting combination of physique, each part still looks amazing. -> -> -> ->
Okay, well, it's black and white, and you can't see the rest of the wolf's body, so you can't tell what I'm trying to get at with the anatomy there. It's not supposed to look like a wolf's arm. The arms though are not as human as you think. They're furred and the hands are clawed and padded. The hands are supposed to be larger because wolves have big paws. The rest of the body is more lupine and it's not a wolf head eating a human body. Because those pictures ARE weird, whenever I see them on dA. Like some terrible Egyptian god come to life. xD
it would look something like this if the body was completed. Albeit, that picture is much better than mine, but it's what I was shooting for. I forget that you guys don't get a lot of this art often, but there it is.
Maybe it's the pose that makes it look so much more human. Your character doesn't look that drastically different from that one. Maybe the thumb is a bit more opposed or something.
I like your depiction of fantasy creatures. in most stories and books werewolves are usually shown as bad-guys or just plain monsters. this painting/pencil-art shows its not always good vs evil. i give it a . by the way, are there any other "mythical" creatures you like?
