I don't understand what all this is about wanting to just level edit rather than hack; you don't have to work with assembly to use SMILE or Double Helix.

If I understand what you're saying, people want to have to use as little assembly as possible. If not...I'm tired okay? Though I would like to say that with all this talk about the possibility of this just turning into an editor, I think I speak for us all when I say that I'd prefer for it to be a full game. However, if it does just turn into the ultimate replacement for SMILE I would be just fine with that, as preferable as a full game is.
I think that due to so many posts about 'please don't let this project be dead', the idea has become clouded. Von Richter pretty much said that it's done when it's done, progress will be made as and when he can, and, IF ALL ELSE FAILS, then he would release the project as 'the ultimate SMILE replacement'.
At the moment, as far as I'm aware, there is no such plan, and it's just that some users expect a progress report every two days, or the project is labelled 'dead'.

I've just been saying that if it does boil down to that, it wouldn't be the end of the world. Of course that being said I would even in that case still prefer a full game. But I don't think that will happen as this project seems to have built up enough steam that such a possibility won't happen.
It would be awesome if you could also make Metroid SR388 for wii (I think I said it before). You could find developing kit from this site.
Yep, homebrewed versions of this game would be awesome. Love to play it on my 42" HDTV if there was a Wii version!

Yeah, people got to learn about patience. Hell, I've been waiting for a lot and had to wait a while, so, not a new story (such as SM: Aegis, this, Final Fantasy 13, and MechWarrior: Living Legends).
The moral is don't be hasty and bothersome with developers. Why don't you wait a month or two for an update?
It's actually faster than SM. I can't do much about any vagaries of video capture etc that might make it look slower. I don't see it myself except where it's extreme slowing down from capturing like the waterfall.
Hi all! I'm the new head of the MSR388 project... that other guy passed away recently and passed the reigns to me just before he took his last breath!

Welcome to the M2K2 forums! Until now the only correspondence on this game has been through VR, what's your relation to him? Are you serious about someone passing away??

Wait...you were around to see him die......[ 1 + 1 = 3 ]...........YOU MURDERER!!!!!!! Anyways, keep on chugging with the project any time you get, but don't rush man. we all want to see the final product, but we also don't want to see a rushed final product.
VR is more comfortable not continuing under his real name, as the project could lead people to his website, and to potential money-making opportunities, even if not directly related to the project. I suspect this concern is unfounded (and yes, I am a lawyer), but, it's always better to be safe than sorry and it's entirely understandable. This is what I have picked up from all the posts on the subject.
I am 99.999% certain that PLG = VR. Unsane is havin' some fun with us.
to clarify: Clearly, PLG is J-SNAKE, I cannot stand that guy and what he is doing with his project. I can do it million times better, so I dropped him out of the window with my ultimate power and claim now my reign for the sake of best quality for MSR388!!!

If you can do it a million times better than stop talking about it and do it.
