Lol T3, you're just grabbing for things aren't you? ;D

Lol, i've been beaten in IBBF by hours and VMR by minutes but I will be the first do beat the game without varia.

Dude, AWSOME plasma without grapple. Is that spot hard?

Plasma without grapple has two solutions. One using a ghetto and one using a trick involving the puddle spore. I have yet to do the ghetto but I can tell you that the trick with the puddle spore isn't too hard but random.

Also, after i'm done with my no varia game, I will try a 23% one. Skipping thermal visor, gravity suit, grapple beam, super missiles, charge beam and spider ball.

Like I said man, you can go for it, I'll just record everything. I've stolen enough from you already ;D and it's not that important to me lol

The ghetto is harder in the game but somewhat easier on the mind; It's repetitive as hell but a lot less aggrivating than being chucked into lava by an absolutely soulless Puddle Spore.

Lol
Also, the ghetto in Cargo Freight Lift to Deck Gamma, is gay without using a sasuke hop.
At the time, I didn't know about the sasuke hop so I had to do discover my own way. I jumped on top of the boxes at the start of the room, moved up against the wall and boosted like hell to get on the elavator.

Climb Cargo Freight Lift to Deck Gamma without Boost Ball, Gravity
That's cool. It's definately faster to boost up the room though. Solving rooms without boost is pretty pointless because I don't think the item will be skippable. Geothermal core, Life grove, Vent Shaft and the last room of the frigate are probably all impossible in this version. Anyway, i'm in the frigate right now so i'm gonna try that out.
If you boost up to that last platform and then do the method I show, it's much faster, it took me 10+ minutes to get up with boosting.

Also, what the hell is with HAT? Is it completely random or do I just fucking suck?

BTW I name the almost scandash esque ghetto enhancer the Baby Hop :3

Only the last jump is faster with a ghetto. The rest should be done with boosting.

Hydro access tunnel is the same as in the gc version. Just hit up then down, up then down while boosting until you fly down to the bottom. Only took me like a minute or so.

Nah, sasuke hop is better.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Sasuke hop is a dumb name ungay it pls

I never got it in the GC version either. I get stuck but when I boost again I go flying every direction except down.

I meant the already scanned object dash that I showed in CFLTDG ;D

Also, I'm going to have to break from playing this for a bit, I'm getting an eye infection and the TV just bakes my eyes. I'll be on periodically but until then, see you next mission.

Took me a while to get it in the gc version but now I can do it easily. Just don't get pushed all the way to the top. Go right beside where you would get pushed up and do it from there. You'll only have to boost once instead of like 4 consecutive boosts.
I got it shortly after posting that - the trick is you have to move the stick perfectly in the centre of it's radius. Topmost indent straight to the bottom most indent. I can do it really easy now but I still hate it. I really hope I get over this infection soon, I have to go back to school and I have my birthday both in 7-6 days respectively.
I completed the game again except this time without varia suit. I noticed some things I didn't notice the first time through.

First thing is that if you skip varia suit and pick up spider ball your morph ball looks like if you have gravity suit. This was also in the gc version. Second, you can skip boost ball for Life grove. You can still minipulate the spinner. Third, I found another solution for MQB without grapple. You can jump off of one of the phazon things to the ledge with the forcefield. Fourth, you can one round OP without super missiles. Lastly, I found a faster way to grab Strength without boost ball. Jump on the computer at the top of monitor station and freez dash to the door.

The Phazon Jump does work with a sasuke hop IIRC, but it is a ballzy method to try in low% where you'd be using it, especially after a good segment (MQA and FH/FGA cooperated)
I think i'm gonna do a 23% game but I don't know if i'll succeed. I've already completed 26% which wasn't that hard but skipping super missiles, charge beam and spider will make it extremely difficult. The wallcrawl to sunchamber will be quite hard but MQA will drive me insane.
MQA = Insanity in a video game. It could be a standalone game on itself.
Sunchamber wallcrawl = 4 1/2 room wallcrawl, easy as f*ck.
Yeah, I guess the wallcrawl won't be nearly as difficult as MQA.
It doesn't even compare. MQA = such a 'simple' trick, EWW (lawl at acronymns) is hard but really, really easy. It is actually *impossible* to fail it, like IBBF. You just have to wait. MQA is like the f*cking puddle spore in magmoor, it's the easiest, most mindless trick; but it'll have you ripping your f**king eyeballs out because of its difficult simplicity.
Actually it is possible to fail at MQA which makes it that more frustrating. If you're playing on the lowest difficulty, all it takes is IIRC 4 shots to the metroid with ice beam before it dies and then you either restart or reload the room.
Thats what I meant, you can't fail at EWW but you can fail at MQA. Repeatedly. Until you punch yourself in the face. With a knife.
It's even harder because of no L button. I have no idea how StefanvanDijke actually did it.
Stefan is absolutely inhuman. He's the PAL kip.
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
wooooosh!

i did the VMR for the first time ever. looks like i'm the 3rd one to do VMR in the Wii version.
just as baby said, it is quite easy in this version. you just need luck with ultra refills. i made like 10 tries overall.
i survived with 61 hp remaining so i bet it can be done with 2 tanks but it will require more effort and luck (i messed up in the room with the turrets a bit)
btw, i didn't need to return to the previous run like in the vid for refills since i got them in the first go.
fun fact: the room that caused me the most trouble was the one with triclops.
