Do emulator runs even count? I'm guessing not because the load times are stupidly fast (amongst other things), but I've been testing out different things for a while and finally got a time I'm superbly proud of after almost 11 years of playing this game.

ALSO as you can see I'm a clod and did the run on a brand new save file so I couldn't skip cutscenes.

Wait, you used savestates and stuff on that, right? Because loading times don't make the game being possible to be completed in such an amazing time w/ a month more practice: A while ago you posted an -indeed- nice time of 1:23 (37%) segmented so I take this as a joke tbh. ;-)
But even w/ savestates, slowdowns and rng/ luck-manipulating I wouldn't have the patience for 1:02 omg that's cool IMO.
Btw cutscene-skipping REDUCES the in-game-timer at Parasite Queen and probably at a few other places I estimate, but it SAVES in-game-time in 1st Phendrana Visit and when collecting the Ice Beam to let the cutscene play out, and cutscenes themselves don't add to the final in-game-timer anyway, but you already knew that, right?

It wasn't a month of practise... I've been playing the game since 2002 when it came out :3. Some save states were used (mostly in pirate labs because at one point I was rocking 004 health), it was a single segment vs. segmented run which saves a fair bit of time too. But like I said, it's an emu run which hardly counts for anything, I'm gonna work on doing it on console more.
About the cutscenes, you can save time in Phendrana anyway even if you can skip the cutscenes, but the biggest time loss is because I can't skip PQ cutscene when the forcefield was in front of my face... not that I'm great at PQ, or even good, but it cost a fair bit of time I'm sure. But yes, I did know that :3
Thank you for that though :) I'm glad I was able to do it (even though it's quite possibly the best time I'll ever get)

Oh sorry, I meant you were practicing a month since you shared a pic of your 1:23 any% at 11th of July. And so this would've been a HELL of an improvement in a very short time... ;-)

Hahaha ah okay, That run was so damn old though, I finished it a year ago and just finally did the last segment in july when I realised I needed to finish it
And yeah, just whenever it really needed it, hence there still being a good 6 minutes of mistakes and unoptimisations in it :3
