I was playing through Metroid Prime today, and I was remembering just how awesome it really is.  Seriously, I have strong suspicions this game will be remembered later on as the finest point of the generation, in terms of sheer quality.  It'll never appear in a regular history book (I think Super Mario and GTA have that) but in terms of gaming, it is a work of art.

Just a fun little rant.

And a true rant.
I just never get tired of this game.
The only thing that ruins the fun is when you are missing that one missile expansion, and you back track all over Tallon IV...
But you do get to kill hundreds upon hundreds of space pirates, so it's worth it.
On another note, Mario and GTA are in history books? Mine must be out dated :(

Yup, Metroid Prime is somewhat a fabulous game. The way it is designed, it's so much better of the two recent releases. I find it captures the Metroid atmosphere extremely well. And it uses the different visors etc so well, in so many situations. That, I've never seen in another game. It was so technical as well, scanning all the log books and Pirate data. It gave a good indepth view into the Metroid world. Indeed a fabulous game.
