If you change the skeleton, you basically need to redo all the animations as well. So yeah.

Maybe it's doable to make a small change to it without needing to reanimate, but keeping the skeleton intact is definitely a lot simpler. Though on the other hand it wouldn't necessarily do anything... don't know how animations work yet.

maybe as a compromise you could just change her head? though i don't know if that's even possible.

though i guess the whole point is to have suitless samus.

I can't just change her head... that would require a completely custom model, plus a new skin from scratch. I don't have the tools to do any of that stuff yet.

This is kinda unrelated but I actually find it kinda funny how lazy the no-helmet model is. They just took a Varia Suit model and changed the orange parts to blue. You can tell because the helmet visor, the shoulder/chest/leg/hand glows, and other small details are from the Varia Suit, not the Gravity Suit.

Not impossible
just highly unlikely

and i guess editing the skeleton would be too difficult.

Is there a way to import the skeleton from Echoes somehow?

...wait, this sounds like way too much effort for the fucking Echoes Zero Suit.

Edit: page break screws me again!
Not unless you want to redo all of the animations.
better idea: can you retexture samus to be naked? :9
I don't think I agree with your definition of "better"

The morph ball could be a tit!

i was trying to decide if the arms or the hair was funnier, until her hand got stuck in the air.

This right here sums up my opinion on the matter. Would've made it perfect if the hand was still hanging outside the ship when it took off afterward, but they likely turned off the Samus model by then.
Still, assuming you could/can get the Corruption models into Prime you could always use that ZZS and the variation where she takes off her helmet and it'd probably work quite well if the rigs are remotely close.
That's actually a in a THP file.
The ending cutscene is a THP, but Zero Suit Samus still has a rigged model used in the opening cutscene. A model also exists of her in the PED suit with her helmet taken off, as it's used for the cutscene after defeating Mogenar.

that literally never happens in the metroid boards, lighten up broski

A visualization of the Octree, Pretty interesting how it works.
what is this Octree?  what game is it from?
An octree is a data structure for recursively subdividing 3D space. The Prime series use one to speed up collision checks. See my post here for details.

Drewseph: That particular octree is from the Artifact Temple, specifically the version found in the final cutscene (which is virtually identical to the normal one in terms of Geometry)

I wonder if it'll work if you change a world warp to that particular pak, hmmm.
Of course it does, why wouldn't it?
I was wondering if the game would register the 0 minute completion time is what I meant. I knew warping to it would work.

Here is the basic jist on how to read it in code form:

Came up with a good way to handle the compression, so I added some basic Echoes MREA support.

I'm likely going to add the ability to view collision in Echoes as well soon (edit: done), but probably not much more Echoes stuff after that. Still definitely have my hands full just with Prime 1...

Also, I'm guessing those extra values on the materials are actually important, because there's a lot of materials that look pretty screwed up.

Uh, scanpoint? What are you doing there?
