Today in my work, I saw a snippet of an official, confidential Nintendo release schedule (for the UK). It's not set in stone, but according to the official PDF, the release date for MP3 in the UK is the 25th May. :o

Which means, if the past is anything to go by, the US should see it start/middle of May. Which is at least a bit more time to allow Rare to "get it right" after MP2's nonsense... ;)

That would be the greatest thing to happen, because as I mentioned in that other MP3 topic recently, I happen to have my final exams during the last week of April.

Very cool news.  Even if it is not set in stone, it is nice to have a time-frame to look forward to.  It would be very nice if they had the localizations for all regions done by that time so that Europe/Australia sees the same release date as NA (if only so that there are no version differences!).

I hope they are happy with their work!  I can't wait to see how they made use of the twice the number of employees as they had with Prime.  I was fearing that Miyamoto may have "upended the tea table" or that they would have to bear the brunt of implementing new Wii features, pushing the release date into late '07.

prime 2 had an almost simultaneous worldwide release and there were still version differences.

granted, they weren't anything like what prime 1 saw.

Just wait then, until they release the Japanese version of MP3 (to all 3 of the Japanese Metroid fans waiting for it there). ;)

I'll definitely get all versions at this time. It was a real pain to get the 0-00 US Metroid Prime 2 over eBay years after its release...

hm was there an US 0-01 or 0-02 of mp2?

anyways, may sounds just in time for my birthday. it's also a nice timeframe since the game i get before mp3 will be mario party 8 and that's march.

also, Wii version numbers are a bit differently structured. it could go from 0A-0 to 1A-0, 0A-1, 0B-0, etc. (my Zelda disk is a 0A-0, people might want to check their disks since Zelda games suffer from version differences too)
