In addition to the standard enemies, we found a few Venus flytrap-style foes that required us to shift to morph ball form and lay some mines to escape.
This is a better write up in the sense that it says more than "You're on a space ship, there are enemies on the space ship and you kill them."
On the positive side, I'm back to not really caring so much about this game and also considering applying for a job at Gamespot since apparently all you need to do is play a preview version of a game and say it's going to be great along with a vague description of what is in the game. As a proficient bullshitter I believe I could pull this off quite well.
These things always piss me off. They're only ever "looking pretty hopeful, looking forward to release" or "needs work, but should be fine for release"

If they say that it's a bad game before the release, then the developers and publishers won't let them get their hands on it.

And that's what's wrong with the videogame press in a nutshell.
Exactly. Do you ever see them preview crap games? Or even original IPs from an up-and-coming dev studio? It's always pre-hyped sequels from the big devs, so all they ever have to say is "looks good" or "needs work, will look good".
