Too many fangirls to count
Well, as some may know, Yobo released controllers for the NES that has an automatic turbo for the start button that slows the game down significantly. Would it be wrong to record and edit runs using that and submit it? (you could go more fancy, like underclocking a system and playing it like that, but this is much easier)
Thread title:
That would probably be counted as a TAS.
yes.

but no one would ever believe what you created.
Why not? If he said it was one, they'd probably believe him. Or do you mean if he ever made another run they wouldn't believe it?
try turning on your nes, putting any game in and rapidly pressing start while the game plays. especially mega man, hahaha.
Which does what? I have no NES.
brings up the weapon select menu over and over and over. every time you do it it costs at least a second. also completely ruins the music.
I can't wait until the Wii. Then I can finally play old games like that...
I'm not going to like the Wii controller. :(

For playing old games in particular, that is. For Wii games it could go either way, I'm sure.

Anyways... a big problem for me will be playing Smash 64 with the damn Gamecube controller. One of the reasons I only play Smash 64 is because of that SWEET ASS CONTROLLER ZOMFGH THHHHH jeebies! Gamecube controller is good for Mario Sunshine or whatnot, but for the preciseness of Smash it is garbage. Also, mélée blowsbecause the physics are slidey and crap. Plus, R-cancelling only cancels half the lag. Like, omgwtf?

What about an underclocked system? That is completely undistinguishable.
