But that whole warped space thing was a special part of Metroid II, like the body outside Kraid, or the Pirate lunch in Prime. Take that out and it's not RoS any more.

Maybe they had space problems and had to make a smaller map than they had invisioned. Instead of making the areas smaller, they put certain places on top of each other.
WEE OOH WEE OOH! THIS IS THE OFF-TOPIC POLICE! OUR SENSORS INDICATE THAT YOU ARE GOING OFF THE COURSE OF THE TOPIC, METROID II REMAKE. YOU ARE ADVISED TO DISCONTINUE TALKS OF "MAPS" AND STUFF LIKE THAT, OR MAKE A NEW THREAD. WEE OOH WEE OOH!
^^wow that was just wrong, but I could be wrong.
Back on topic, I would really like a GBA remake of Metroid 2. I would also like a Super metroid remake. I never got to play either of them, and having all of the games (except prime) remade on the GBA would be awesome. They should also come with unlockable ports like M:ZM. Then I would have every metroid game (except prime). Bwahahahaha!!!
Well, since this has been bumped out of what little oblivion exists in the RoS section of the forums here, I'll chip in my piece. Of any of the game, I think RoS deserves the most to be remade into 3D. Why? Simple: All the Metroid forms in 3D would be so freaking awesome. And, uh, yeah.
I wonder if the Speed Booster, Super Missile, Charge Beam, Power Bomb, and Gravity Suit are going to be included in the remake of RoS? :? (If there is gonna be a remake.)
Well one of the things about the game is you start with two items already. Actually it's funny but the only time you find the morph ball is in Brinstar, and it's always in the same place. I've heard in prime you start with it, and then have to re-find it afterwards.
The game would need some re-tooling, but it's possible. For starters, maybe there could be a way to make a 3d map or somthing, where you could turn it around to check the different rooms. Or, just have overlapping rooms or somthing innovative. Ading the standard metroid item fare seems rather important, considering that this game did give rise to many Super Metroid staples, plus because of Zero Mission, speed booster super missles, and power bombs are a staple as well.
One aspect could be making a big deal with the metroids. You have to hunt 39 of them. Each area could have the amount of metroids, then a showdown with a boss or somthing.
Actually, scrap that. The ideas could be limitless if only one was willing to break with traddition. ZM worked because most of the map was already lineir, just add secret areas and other things. Since this game never had an offical map save for the one in Nintendo power, it might be limited when compared to today's GBA abilities.
I hope they do this though, that game was definitly fun, and the game would have a market.
A remake would definitely be great, but not in 3D. If the different types of Metroids are wanted in 3D, then they should be incorporated into a brand new game (I don't know how that would work though), maybe another Prime. It would be very hard to put RoS into 3D anyway because of the seriously flickerbatted-up map. They should just revamp it and add new things, like in ZM. I don't think that a map is really needed, but I wouldn't mind if it was in there.
