Metroid Custom figure

Hey You might be interested in my project. Have you ever seen a metroid custom figure that is super awesome? I wanted every one of those. but for how much they sell its crazy. I am not saying that's a bad thing, its part of the reason I myself have started hard work at a Metroid custom my self.

The material I am using is Castaline. you may be remembering that awesome metroid prime samus figure.

he modeled it using castaline. and So am I. this project still has some time before it starts looking Really good. It is on its way.

If it's an original figure then he must be the one who bought it. (probably paid a pretty penny for it too)

yeah that guy won it on ebay from the deviant art dude. I am probably going to buy enough resin to make 7 or so. I plan to sell them one at a time on ebay. But before That I have to make sure it's perfect and looking 100% better than it is now

Is it poseable? If so, how do the joints work ?

Do you know how much that thing sold for on ebay? The paint job looks awesome. Are you able to do that good of a paint job on yours? I may be interested in buying one if it comes out anywhere near as awesome as the other one.

ALSO: Are you sure that the medium is called 'Castaline'? I can't find it when doing a search.

right now it is a statue. I plan on making it poseable. I have it all figured out. the painting will be done good as well. I plan on making this look like other M samus. Even if it doesn't look 100% like it I plan on making it look Amazing either way. Yes the medium Is called Castaline. It is called castaline clay. google search it

OK I finally found some articles that mention castaline clay. Must be a fairly rare material, it doesn't even come up on Wikipedia. There are more hits on anal bleaching than castaline!

I have so much more castaline left. that I will be starting another action figure after this one is done. All I really have to do is add detail to the legs and feet. same with the ball shoulders. then put finishing touches on all of the parts until there smooth and perfect

I dunno. I really want to get more variety. After this I was planning on working on another video game character. Like link. there hasn't been a decent link action figure.

It's not really an 'action figure', but the first4figures.com Link statues are pretty cool.

yeah those are pretty sweet. But There never has been a good action figure. remember those old oot action figures they sold at best buy. they were cool but the sheild broke first day when I got one. wasnt possible at all either. well it could do the monkey. but that was about it. id make it based off of ocarina of time probably. either that or twilite princess link

That sculptor wax... Perhaps I should try some of that. I've been messing around with some, eh, plain 'ol Gulf Wax trying to design something. If/Once I get what I'm wanting to make I'll need to make a mold. And incorporate the use of this somehow...

you can't edit your posts you mean? have you tried hard reloading the page? we just pushed a new version so things might be messed up until you do. if it's still not working after a hard reload let me know.
