at 1st this was going to be a full hack, now just half, and im running out of ideas. so put your thinking caps on because i need ideas.

When making a hack topic please put in some content like screenshots or your topic gets locked.
And you should attach the patch here because no one wants to have a link to an unknown website.

Right under the post box, which I'm typing in right now, there's an 'additional options' thing you can click, and you can attach files right there to your post.

Of course, once you learn how to attach posts, everyone will start getting angry at you for making us dl the image Rolling Eyes

So to show us the image you attach, just drag the download text to a new tab in your browser, then copy the link and put it in to an IMG code. not too hard, is it? Wink

Some of the sections look quite different, such as the mushroom platforms, bot a lot of the rooms still clearly look like the originals. Try changing them up a bit more. Very Happy

UPDATE. now im at 10% look at 1st post for update.
and DEMO BETA THINGY 0.2!

EDIT the pics don't show alot so go through all the way to the beginning of brinstar (which i renamed :P)
the rest of the game is just re-textured.

EDIT 2 sorry if anybody downloaded right after this post. i didnt update the 1st post untill 5 mins after this one.
so reDL it and HAVE FUN!

This topic has been almost at the top of the page for days. At the rate you update you could simply edit your post all the time rather then making new ones.

Looks very half hackish so far. Make sure you test your rooms so they work correctly.

You don't have to edit the first post. Just don't make a new post if yours is the most recent one in the thread. It still shows up as "new."

And you really should try to do more with less, IMO; less updates, with more content. A thread that gets bumped five times a day will quickly become something everyone learns to ignore.

As for your talent, everyone starts somewhere. It's not bad, but you shouldn't expect to knock socks off when you're new either. Just keep going, learn SMILE, and see if you enjoy it in the long run.

Wow, I feel like a thread taker-uper... (Not sure what words are and aren't banned here...)

Only find one problem so far, other wise, I'm enjoying it as it is at the moment. Just wish it wasn't so similar to the original in terms of path to follow.

Just killed the Bomb Torizo, and tried going up that shaft, and than right to go out the door, screen didn't scroll.
EDIT: Walked out the room that way blindly and back in, and it seems to have fixed itself.

well its more of a skin than a CHANGE-THE-PATH thing.
im not messing with doors, because idk what to do. the last time i messed with doors, i screwed the game up.
i had to get rid of the secret room on the left side of the start room because of this and making the main room take to much space.

i know im not shapoes to do this, but i need someone to fix the 2nd boss battle room for me. i completely screwed it up.
i tryed to size it and fix it up then i put it back together and its still messed up and i still cant fix it.
mostly because i cant find the see through title and/or see through title has been replaced by a orange door?!?!?!
help will be appreciated, and your name will be added to the credits.
