Mecha Ridley trick

I'll be back. Maybe...

While fighting Mecha Ridley, if you morph in the corner next to the door, then the claws and most of the lasers can't hit you. Not sure about the fire, and the missiles certainly still hit you, but the claw is by far the most lethal.

This isn't very useful if you have 6 Supers, obviously, as you can just destroy it before it attacks enough to kill you.

Ducking is enough to dodge the claw, I think there's only one laser that still hits while ducking but misses while morphed.

And I'm pretty sure this is known already.

I would pay to see that person who do 10%(hard) with the screw attack go though tourian and not have thier ass handed to them on a platter my the first metroid they see. .

and yeah, I think the whole crouch by the door thing is a little well known. I do it, but that be some excellent effort on finding something, as I think that trick seems obsure

HA. The metroids... everyone thinks they'd be the top concern, but really it's the zeebetites. The metroids are weak as hell, just keep them frozen, problem solved. Now go have fun with the zeebetites and the rinka's lack of giving missiles. Hey, in fact, now that you've got screw attack, you get to not be able to jump on top of the rinkas because they'll EXPLODE. Hooray, another roadblock!

Actually, the metroids are the top concern if you got a super. You can just shoot a super and 2 missiles at the zebetites to kill it if you got a super.

Yeah... but in the end that's still a slower route. I thought we were talking about speedruns. And the Metroids still aren't hard, cause if you have a super you can just kill the metroids in one shot. Whoodeedoo.

Yeah well, In hard 10% you only get 1 super, and it is HARD to get it back after using it. And it is an honor just for me to DO 10% hard, let alone speed run it.

I am a bad metroid player. I totally forgot about the zebetites X_X but yah, like aj said, the lack of missles and the screw attack would give you a very hard time (having to get enough missles from the cheerios of doom at the right time in the right spot seems like a very random sort of affairs, and it's those things that can be a segment killer)

as far as the metroids go, they give me more of a hard time due to the whole moving around thing . . . . at least the zebetites stay still ( I am doing two hard mode runs and geting through tourian to the save station before mb was a zazabi)

and I would still pay to see somebody do a 10% hard with screw attack (especially the whole tourian part from start to mb being turned into a pile of goo)

Can you do 10% Hard with the Screw Attack? I didn't think it was possible, don't you need 4 missiles?

The place you need missles has a place beside it with Screw Attack blocks.
