MBT (Morph Ball Travel) is a new idea i came up with. It doesnt seem too ludicrous, and may be possible.
The basic idea is that with HBJs and DBJs, it may be possible to go around the entire game, with nothing but the morph ball. This excludes the boss fights, however, when in Human form, you may not move around, or else it is a non MBT run. You can use beams and all, just ONLY MOVEMENT IN MORPH BALL MODE. Yes, in the beginning before you get morph ball, it is OK to move around, but ONCE YOU GET MORPH BALL AND BOMBS, IT IS ONLY MB TRAVEL. Has this been thought of? It seems possible.
EDIT: Yes, a DBJ then UM is allowed technically since the transition from morph to human is going on.
EDIT2: Yes, Grapple is allowed. UNLESS a way can be found around ALL the grapple points.

i know there's been talk of a morph ball run before but no one's done it because it's a pain in the ass. i'd love to see it done well though.

well, you'd also need to bomb jump for all the single jumps in the game. there are tons of those.

I don't think you learn patience by doing something repetitive and boring that you could very easily stop doing. You just learn that you have an incredible tolerance for boredom.

Although, if you're playing the Trilogy version, Spring Ball takes care of those.

I feel like trying to skip the morphball until I get the ice beam. Or get the morph ball bombs to freeze the game or glitch the game into thinking I GOT the morph ball. XD

So many idea's, I think my headache will return...

I thought of trying a mb run, but couldn't because I didn't know how to get around the space jumps, now that i do i think it will be interesting.

yes someone has, and i believe they succeded. it of course involved sw. I believe they used the sw in the chozo ruins main plaza.

Y'know I think I'll go ahead and do this just 'cause I'm wanting a new challenge. (I'll also record it for everyone to watch.) Although this does mean I'd have to "technically" do a natural route run after I get bombs, but oh well.

Also I think this'd help me out with timing HBJ/UBJ's as well (those two are something I need to practice desperately.) *shudders at thought of Geothermal Core*
