Segment 12

Saved 0:50 that mean im around 4 minutes ahead my 1:13 run. (1.13 saved 54 at this point)

Segment 12 includes some minor mistakes but nothing really bad looking.

Im really close 1:09 final time rightnow. I need nearly 4 minutes off my PB. My PB is pretty high 1:13.

I trying redo segment 12 hour and half and 22 attempts. But not luck make it.

Yeah this my completed segment was still quite good one but i got practice some new very little time savers. I got find one seconds faster route climping PPC and i timed making dash at magmoor is half-one seconds faster than jumping. I think its more consistent kill Omega left target his legs used rapid missiles than plasma charge. This is very easy dying this charge like i did my completed segment though im not think it is any faster used missiles. Somereason this charge very often goes miss. Im not have idea why this happen.

This PB refill seems really random. IIRC i got it only 5 times my all 22 attempts. There is 100% PB drop with geemer at end but its cost some time got it. Im not know how much but i think at least 2-3 seconds.

Yeah and PPC climping is just so fucking luck based its probably most painful single room entire game. Today i got skip pirates only once without falling down but i still dying a lot with jumps and thats mean my segment was ruined. There is nothing what i can make consistent that. Its hard avoid got hit with bullets even practice attempts. All my previous completed runs i used extra savepoint, but its cost tons time.

About segment 13 its will be hell for any serious speed. I know tons good time saver but i can,t consistent by any so i´ll used some easier ways thats will definitely waste time. Yesterday i did some research and timings. For example

Frozenpike tunnel skip. There is hardest and fastest method but i can consisten that around 10% of the time so its definitely way too hard end of the very difficult segment. Its save 2.5 seconds over easiest method.

If you miss take this target which nearly always happen its cost over 2 more seconds like this

Most consisten method is used slant

Slant seems as fast as used easier dash method.

There is also R-jump method, its some 70-90 hundreds faster than slant method and its pretty difficult too.

Its looky skills is increased a lot. That still good run. Its have more views than my other runs. Yeah thats are taking me overall 7 years speedrunning that game and i think i´ll joined sub 1:10 team when my new US run is done. My current skills are my top ever.

Yeah and thats piss me off when itspersonal say over 1.10 runs suck. Its doesn´t suck. 7 fucking long years speedrunning and im not even sure can i got 1:09. But its very close.

Im pretty sick with this game rightnow. So i´ll try finnish this run soon as i can, im not want care optimize all fucking things so well i want. I still have 5-6 memory card slot so i´ll definitely back segments if i can,t got 1:09.

I decide cut phendrana segment. This mid save might not world greatest idea because its cost time. I think around 10 seconds i decide used it here and make sure i´ll did all non consistent little time savers what i didn,t usually used.

Saved into ship 0:59.

Its around 4 minutes ahead my 1:13 run. Im not any idea how high or low this is but i need at least 10 minutes last two segments. Thats not very easy i know my PB is less or more high 1:13 because that several times ended 1:14.

Im not go try flyphase skip LOL. I always try it once, but its never are happen effect that extra plasma shot correctly.

Segment 16 Meta Ridley

1:01 Impact crater. This will requires 8 minutes last boss. Im not have idea how high or low 1:01 my time is. I have good chance but its will requires at least decent Prime fight for me.

There is weird and really annoying glitch with Meta Ridley. I ruin at least 3 attempts with this. Im not have idea how this sometimes happen. Ridley chest are invulnerable my missiles like here.

With a :59 save at Tallon you should be able to get a 1:08 or lower. My 1:09 ss had a :59 save and I lost about 40 seconds on Ridley, also if you have Ice Spreader for Prime then you can certainly get 1:08 or maybe even 1:07.

But i suck last boss. I really have trouble got 6 minutes last boss my 100% run its always ended 7 minutes, so 8 minutes is definitely good last boss on any-% run. icespreader probably not help me a lot because i have only 13 missiles remain. I can use it once if im not have refill luck with balls. There is missile recharge in impact crate i used on hard mode, but its cost some time, im not sure is it faster than non icespreader fight.

Also im not never my life are got 3 pool last boss. So thats pretty unrealstick i got it this time. But yeah i can aim 8 minutes and got 1:09 thats will be great for me.

But let see. I´ll keep trying. My avarage last boss took 8-9 minutes on NTSC and 9-10 on PAL. Its depend a lot with seconds too.

Damn again 1:09.

Now i can say its low 1:09. I got improve nearly 50 seconds my previous 1:09 where i miss 4 pool prime. So im very close 1:08 right now. Fucking 2nd form caused me some serious trouble. Im not going even try 3 pool fight because 4 pools caused me enought trouble.

Last segment 1:08 ending

Prime is 4 pool. 3 pool seems nearly impossible if you used attack cancel like me.

Estimate 1:08:20-1:08-30. Very hard to say. Its beat my first very high 1:09 by 1.30 minutes.

I think i´ll need some break right now. I think its way too frustrating try beat last boss only, but i think there is way i can got 1:07 if i´ll back some segments back. I did several mistakes so i can save at least 20 seconds my segments 12-16 only and try redo this fucking last boss 10 more seconds Its might aim 1:07 final time. But well im very happy with this. This is maybe my best Prime run ever done. I working very hard with this.

My new frigate escape record 4.26.57 time remain

I really surprised i got over 4.26. When i enter Meta Ridley room i was 0,2 secons behind my best sub time which ended 4.25.33. I think i did really good run at end. I cannot believe my eys when i see i got more close 4.27 than 4.25. This take me around 20 atttempts. And only twice i got over 4.25.

New PAL frigate escape record 4:20:55 time remain. YEAH THAT WAS HARD. I spend several hours and easily over 100 attempts total trying redo my previous PB (4:20:22 year 2008-2009) Its might be my best PAL run ever. My real PAL speedruns are really outdated and those are easily beatable with my current skills.

Today i only spend 2 & half hours with this i completed order

4:19:77
4:20:10
4:20:11
4:20:30 (I got beat my PB by 8 hundred but im not was happy enought)
4:19:6x (just best sub time (4:06:6x) when i enter Meta Ridley room but i make stupid mistakes at end)
4:20:55 (new PB)

I count if every fucking sub times went well i wanted its might be 4:21. But right now i think every fucking hundreds improvement started are very good. I might still keep trying that and also my NTSC frigate (4:26:57)

Hello back the grind that game. I´ll wanted try make some crazy what i will never attempt again i think. I think im not even sure will this never done. But i started try 22% hard mode survival run. I´ll try keep my segments short enought, but this is not speedrun.

Some segments are public. There is nothing to see segments 1-3. So im not even public
Segment 4) easy segment even hard mode

Segment 5 Flaahgra and other shit. This segment was some difficult. I got find weird glitch against chozo fights. If you stand close enought door you not always take damage. I never are know that before. But hell yeah chzo fights take forever. I´ll know its nothing like what last boss will take.

Hard 22% progress
Segment 6 & 7. Segment 6 has some real lenght, but pretty fun segment and some nice close call here. I forget missile door and some bad refill rng cost something like 40 seconds.

Segment 7 Invisble drone take nearly half this segment lenght. That was hard guy and i got die a lot here. PB maze was something like perfect expect my cautions.

Next two segment is some random tryings. There is vent shaft jump and geo core lottery jump. This is not speedrun, but i´ll still make resets if something trick take forever to make.

I´ll update this when i got done some segments. Okay 8 segments is added. At this point im got stucked geo core lottery jump. My normal mode run (1h 32) i got this segment done my 5th attempts. But yeah this not happen with this time. I am trash 3 & half hours recorded and without luck make it. I´ll back when its done. But this trick is luck as hell. Everybody who can make this SS runs whatever time is great player.

I´ll might continue my PAL version run, but i have to find my memory cards. I think i´ll continue play it 5th segments, 4th segment was quite good. I think its time to got done this i started play it over year ago, but got bored. When i did my NTSC 1:08 any-% run which was really painful and sure my best Prime run ever. Then i got really burn out with running this game.

Segment 9 is geo core which took me 6 hours recorded with this time. Its 3rd video where i make this jump and 6th time total when im making this nightmare trick. Its never are easy make this.
Segment 10 is some nice playing through frigatecrash site. I did its through with speedrun style, because its look better.

Next segment is lifegroove spinner RNG shit and then actual hardmode will be start.

There will be some serious hard spots on hardmode i might can´t pass:
1: Wavepirates
2: Omegapirate (i have some real hard time beat it on normal mode) Normal mode you have time to kill those beam pirates. So its not difficult like hard.

After T3 did his awesome 55 minutes run. Nobody really care my stuff but i´ll still keep update as long as i make something.

I spend some attempts segment 12 (wave pirates from hell) Im pretty hopeless with this. Only two times i got kill one single pirate, but other two killed me quickly as hell. But yeah i might keep random attempts to beat this part and i think i´ll save back in mainquarry if i got this shit done somedays.

Normal mode pirate fight was actually quite easy even without incredible luck its could be passed around 25-50% of the time.

Segment 12 is 22% hardmode is listed. Just wave pirate battle only. This took me around 2 hours to beat this fight and yeah its take a forever, longer than avarage segments. I watch darnyoshi strategy pass this fight make it a lot more beatable than other stragys. Its still fucking hard. I have thankyou daryoshi. You are did some nice clips. Otherwise i was probably stay at this point.

this was first used in sparky's 1:02/1:03 test run (around 2006 i guess) and then in my 100% 1:24 run (in 2007). so you obviously never watched my old 100% run and sparky's run... or you just stole it from those videos and claim that you discovered it...

Just phazon first half. Pretty easy part expect some random damage things make this too painful make after horrible difficult pirate fights.

Next segment is usually hardest for speedruns, but my 22% hardmode is more demostration run. I´ll try keep it short enought, but not care make i mistakes and etc.. This category is simply too hard to speedrun. So at this point i am 23 minutes behind my 22% normal mode run which ended 1:32. If you want see speedrun you might be more interested see my normal 22% run. If you want see how i survivor this might be interesting to watch.

This fight take me 63 attempts. I trash 2 & half hours recorded. Most reason i was extremely unlucky with plasma trooper RNG. Its mostly mean death for me if i got other pirates than plasma. This PB strategy only is really hard for me.

This glitch happen me once my all attempts. I am see this some Miles or T3 videos IIRC. No idea how this work? Ironic i got it my 1st attempt but its never happen again. I think this is frame perfect trick like Ridley flyphase skip and geocore slot jump.

Anyway. Other segments before last boss will be some more or less fun stuffs. Last boss will requires me some serious practice. I die here a lot my normal mode 22% too. I cannot even imagine hard difficult.

Segment 17 & 18 added playlist. 18/21 segments completed. Three segment remains my hell through. Last one is definitely harder than other segments total.

This fight take me 63 attempts. I trash 2 & half hours recorded. Most reason i was extremely unlucky with plasma trooper RNG. Its mostly mean death for me if i got other pirates than plasma. This PB strategy only is really hard for me.
