Map patch to aid the folks like me

As much as I don't like giving away freebies, I sure wish someone had prepared this for me so I didn't have to go through the trouble of doing it.

Basically, applying this patch will remove the text on the map screen found near the elevators that tells where they go. This text was fine in the original game, but in hacks, this text often gets in the way. This patch will not help you if you wish to change the text or move it, this only removes it. It's for unheadered roms.

I once did this by removing the labels GFX, is that the method you used?

That's the easiest method...unless you want to search through the rom and find it in a hex editor Rolling Eyes

Yeah, I took the easy way out. But I figured now there's an even easier way if you need it.

I meant that now all you have to do is apply the patch, you don't even have to search through the rom in TLP.

Thanks for the patch, but I must report a little problem.

I applied the patch and the Samus screen is missing a tile for non hi-jump boots.

That should not be hard to fix. Open your hack and a clean rom both in TLP, go through the clean rom until you find Samus' foot, copy the missing part, and paste it to the hack. As you see, it's not hard
