1. Go to the area where you can get all three beams (I think where you fight Omega Metroids for the first time).
2. Have the Plasma Beam equipped.
3. Shoot the ball the Chozo Statue holds to reveal the Ice/Wave Beam.
4. Just before touching the Item Pickup fire your weapon, it will be distorted.
