Final game title:    Metroid - Incursion

100% Complete - Snarfblams Metroid Plus improvements where successfully applied to this MOD

I have included 2 .IPS files, one with Snarfblams Metroid Plus improvements and one with the standard
weapons and no mini map.  I found that the wave+ice made the final area fairly easy.  If you want more
of a challenge I would say play through with the normal version first then with the PLUS features second.

Metroid_Incursion.IPS = Standard Weapons and Original Gameplay
Metroid_Incursion_Plus.IPS = Added pause mini map, Wavy Ice weapon, Save game feature

Description of modifications:

    All levels 100% redesign
    New title screen graphics
New tile graphics - All levels (New level themes)
New creature graphics (A few classics will remain)
    Animations created for all levels
Level design focused on fun factor, game play, attempt at minimizing frustration (There are some difficult
        areas).
Snarfblams save game and mini map hack applied

Thread title:
Started playing the plus version, went directly to norfair then all the way right.  Fell down a shaft with a waterfal in the center.  Cant see any way out without some kind of upgrade, and the only thing I found on the way was an ET right near the beginning.  Lame.

I play tested this MOD over a dozen times and some how missed that.  Thanks for pointing it out.  The long jump is down there but it never crossed my mind that people would go down their with no missiles.  If you continue going right from the spot you originally started you'll find the first missiles.

I'm going to correct the issue and do a corrected release.  Please acquire the missiles first to proceed, I'd like to get your feedback for the MOD as a whole so I can consider it when reworking the error and possibly expanding it with additional changes.

Thanks
Metroid Incursion has been updated to version 1.1

The issue you mentioned has been resolved.  BTW I think you missed the item that allows you to turn into a ball which is located to the left of the starting location.  Other changes have been made also based on feed back from others.  Let me know if you give it a try, I'd like to get your feedback.
Yeah I missed the maru mari on that first play because I didn't realize you could stand on that antenna thingy.  I did play again and got maru mari, ice, long beam, varia, and missiles, but I really couldn't stand that to the left in Kraid where you had to jump into an area where some blocks were solid and some were not, and some had to be shot - all the while getting nailed by respawning enemies.  It was not enjoyable, and I decided to put it down lest I encounter another area like that one.  It was also frustrating trying to determine background from foreground in many places.  I'm just giving my honest feedback.  The amount of work is impressive, but there are some flawed design choices.
There are only two short areas with the respawning creatures.  It seems to be a love hate area in the game.  Some people said they loved the originality of the challenge and others said it drove them batty.  I think it all depended on if they had the ice beam or not.  Having the wave beam makes it a lot easier also.  The wave beam is hidden in the sewer area, it's a secret area in a secret area.  If you played the original metroid it shouldn't be too hard to find, the sewer isn't very big.  You'll use bombs to access this area.  Happy hunting.

The caves are supposed to be "infested" thus the creatures continue to come at you and respawn. Freeze them and it shouldn't be too hard to get by. Good luck.
I had ice, it didn't help much because frozen enemies become an obstruction preventing me from going up any further.  What would make that part much better is if you could actually see where you could go instead of having to jump around shooting frantically and trying to figure out which blocks samus could move through and which ones she couldnt.
