Lent prime...

.. and I'm playin' it now for the first time. It rocks! The controls were hard at the beginning, but I'm getting the hang of it ;) I'm now getting the boost ball, and I think I'm at like 2hours30mins... yeah I suck :P got like 50 missiles and 3 e-tanks though.

It's a great game! Too bad I didn't find that out before :P

Thats about the amount of items I had in that point of the game and my time was close to 3 hours.

What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.

Embarressingly, I completed the game with only 80 missiles (!!) my first time through.

The second time through I was kicking myself several times for the many obvious missile tanks that I could have easily gotten had I just looked up.

I don't suck so bad now, though.

enjoy this phase while it lasts. this is like your childhood, when you can do whatever you want on the playground, and you're mostly ignorant of the world around you.

I had less missiles than that my first time I think (I still have my first file).

Yeah it's a pretty cool game, but not as OMG as a *handful* of the people here find it to be, IMO. :P

Yeah, zero mission/super are better then Prime, it's like as good as fusion in my book :P
just got the wave beam, haven't been playing yesterday :P 75 missiles, 5 tanks :O

The game is too much combat orientated. I hate baby sheegoths >_>

you can't be flamed for opinions, and I think fusion is a good game. I'm not saying they are alike, because with prime i have no fucking clue where to head next, except when hints pop up, and with fusion it was a breeze thanks to the computer :P

but I still like fusion. and prime. But zero mission/super are just better :P

Prime is too much about fighting, and scary moments. It's obvious where you use the various power ups, and you need to scan alot to progress. the other games are much more speedier (without speed running, you know?)

again with the ignorance about the outside world. getting around this kind of thing may not have been intentional by the designers, but it is very much possible and is done every day. there's a time when you think that blasting pirates with the charged plasma beam the first time you see them (after the intro) is good, and then there's rapid firing two missiles at one, then switching to the next pirate and opening fire before the first missile has even hit the first pirate. no plasma beam required ...

and iirc you don't have the use the scan visor at all in any percent now ...

man, did i mention i'm one of scarlet's handful who loves prime? :P

I now have 96% items, around 11 hours and I'm at the last safe point, before prime.

I took him down to half health in his last form, but I just go nuts :X
I HATE THOSE STUPID LITTLE METROIDS >.< and in those visors, I cant see anything, especially when locked onto prime. I suck at this game.

I don't see this as based on Metroid Prime only, but the Metroid series. Which is my favorite videogame series ever.

I love Prime. My second favorite in one of my favorite game series of all time.

At first, I was really skeptical about the Prime being first person, but it blew me away, and I can't wait for Prime 2. Of course I'll keep playing Prime until then. And then after as well...

I can't get enough of Magmoor's theme music!

I can't stop fighting Meta-Ridley on hard... It's so cool to try different things, like attempting to recreate the "ridley scott" other clip by wavebusting his ground form. Really, this game is great.

FINALLY killed damn prime... when I found out I could just powerbomb the metroids, it was easy :D

96% - 12:19

Not bad for a first time ey? only look up some locations for expansions/upgrades, but did all the puzzles and bosses by myself :) It's pretty hard knowing where you need to go next.
gotto return it today, so this will be my first and only run.

Better game then I expected, but not as fabulous as many people seem to think it is. I agree with Scarlet.

I also thought of it as an "only good" game after my first time finishing it.

But as I said in my initial post on this forum, Metroid games become better the more you play them (!). There are few games out there where it is similar.

Anyway, it's an extremly high qualitiy game regardless of personal oppinions.
