Last Boss....(spoilers)

Okay, I can breeze through Emporer Ing, but when I get to dark samus 4.....

I've read a ton of help topics on variouse forums, and I do what they all say, but I still can't suck the phazon stuff in. When DS shoots the little phazon balls out, I either stand beside where they are landing, and point my charging power beam at them, or I stand right on the spot where they are landing, and then point the charging power beam at them. Either nothing happens, or I get hurt by them. I've been able to suck them in and shoot DS ONCE, bo only once, and I didn't do anything diffirent that time. Please help me in my newbyness.

Lock onto her, and position yourself so the phazon falls into the charge.

i've also found that if you do screw up and she gets out of her bubble and starts to run around shoot a super missile at her after she gets her shield off and she'll immediately get back into the air and start the bubble phase over again. a good tip if you screw up and are low on time.

it's tough. really tough, imo. just have to get really good at telling if it's going to shoot a single blob or the little ones, and if it shoots the little ones, don't move a muscle except for the r button. scarlet could probably explain this better.

Well, I finally got it down on the fifth try Rolling Eyes

, and I finished with 19:11, with 87%. I found that if I died while fighting DS, and I choose to start from my last save, it will start you right after beating Ing emporer. Now I'm mad at myself, because I beat the emporer thrice, when I could have just beat him once....I guess it was good practice for hard mode at least.

The way I do it, is for the first half of the fight, I just use super missiles until she goes into the bubble. After that things got easier in my opinion. All you have to do is dodge the Big shots she fires. But what i do is instead of keep moving, stand still, that way when she fires the small phazon at you, all you have to do is suck it up and fire it back.

:edit: one way to tell if she fires the small phazon is her bubble will get bigger, when you see that, stand still. usually the phazon will go in your direction, that way you can aim at it and suck it all up. on my first few attempts to beat her, i didnt realize you could suck it up, so i eventually ran out of time or died trying.

Huh, I never had any trouble sucking up the shots after the first few tries. Once she fires at you, LET GO OF YOUR LOCK. Looking up and at them, it's not too hard. Also, if you're still stuck, try experimenting with being at her side when she does it... it seems like they always fire from her front.

There is a wall in the room with no phazon on it, so you can back up against the wall and get hella away from her when she is in bubble mode.

1) It makes dodging the damaging shots easy(just a quick dash to the side and it hits a wall and blows up so you avoid it simply).

2) You don't have to worry about stepping on phazon

3) When she unleashes the snowflakes, they all fly right at you and you can collect them seriously easy.

It makes that form cake.
