Hi, im pkmn_2005, a true blue pokemon lover, as well as fanatic. I also like to play the metroid games, and have longed to post my ideas for my games here. For the time that i am here, i shall post my ideas for a few of my video games, as well as debate certain facts and opinions on this website.
I am bilingual, and normaly if i post anything in french, i shall leave a small english section so you know what the heck i was saying. And from now on, i shall end each of my messages with:
well, I wasn't going to bother with an introduction, but it can't hurt, so here we go.
hi, my name is luke. I'm 24 and live in new york. people refer to me as "that zero mission guy" sometimes.
I've been around for the longest time - on metroid2002's irc server since zero mission came out (albeit on and off) and then reading the forums on and off but never making an account or posting. I was urged to come here when I got 29:43 on an any% zero mission run, barely breaking GameCube04's 29:54. since then, I've gotten 29:14, a time that I feel is very good but breakable. my next run will definitely be a 28:xx, but that won't happen for a while (see below).
the main question I get: why haven't you recorded your run?
simple - I don't have a gamecube. I didn't even have a VCR until last month, either. I just moved last month (hence the VCR acquisition - roommates rule) and thus don't have money to drop on gamecubes. if I did, a run would have been made. I'm actually afraid of playing now because I might set a record I can't break with video evidence, or because it'd be a huge waste of time. if anyone's got like 8 extra gamecubes and doesn't mind parting with one, do let me know. (ha.) I'm working on saving money up to get one, but that'll take me a couple of months. until then, I know I won't be recognized as being a "world record holder" - not that that really matters.
other games I enjoy are ff1, super metroid, f-zero gx, shadow hearts 1/2, and lode runner. oh, and zork. can't mess with zork. I like music too, mostly of the alternative/electronic/experimental variety.
Hey there. I'm new, too. Probably won't post much here, probably just lurk most of the time. Played every Metroid game since the origional NES and I pretty much love 'em all ;p S'about it. See you guys around the boards...even if you don't see me!
So...Does anyone here remember me? I kinda dissapeared off the map totally and now I'm back! But yeah , seriously, if any of the old people like Tooz and Yoshi remember me, I'd be much abloged since ive been here for over a year.
But also, Hi to everybody else! I'm Cantonbags04 (otherwise known as Bags) And I'll be popping in from time to time. And I'm a girl. heh.
