I like mph already!

It would help if he added end punctuation to his post, but yeah, he's cool so far. Welcome to the forum.
hi, my name is travis
everybody knows it's true
very blunt of an introduction, Travis.

He's my next-door neighbor. I dunno what he's doing here, since he has no love or even like for metroid.
red chamber dream
Then he should leave, if he's really the person you think he is.
to be fair, the social aspects of the forum seldom have anything to do with metroid.
red chamber dream
Right, but then why not just join another, fully socially-oriented forum?
in the name of justice!
man, ark, i hate you sometimes.  i come here because i like most of the people who are here often.
Because the people one wants to socialize with are here?

Just playing devil's advocate.  But I lurked for a fair bit before I joined because I found the (non-Metroid) conversations interesting but didn't feel I knew enough about the series for it to be appropriate for me to join.  Had I not seen a topic regarding Ceres Station in which a relevant comment had strangely not been made I might never have joined.
red chamber dream
Sorry, but what did that have to do with anything?
in the name of justice!
a reason that a person would join here rather than a "fully socially-oriented forum."

Man, Ark! You used to be cool! (Just kidding, you still are) Welcome, Travis. I know you =0

I'm sure one would get to know people at other forums, too.

Though, somehow I don't think another forum can exactly offer the same experience as this one.

This forum has been a real wierd experience for me. It was my second forum, but amazing none the less. Ark was the only cool one back in the day...
Thanks for the welcome Klegmug and others.  No thanks to "Miss" Aran aka Patrick.  How can you say that I have no interest for Metroid as the Gameboy version was one of my first games.
Who couldnt like someone who plays fusion?

I think he meant Return Of Samus, but maybe not.

Because you have no intent on replacing it even though you lost it more than five years ago. We're talking about current times, here.
Hello there! Here's some information about me...

==================================
- I have a photographic memory

- A birth defect in my jaw prevents me from moving it from left to right. Oh well; I can dish out nearly 200 pounds of force when I bite. Go me.

- I live with my dad and his girlfriend (real mom ran off with another man when I was 7).
==================================

Anyways, hello to all!

I would trade my left to right jaw ability for 200 pounds of biting force any day! Anyways, welcome to the forum, dude!
What teeth?  I'm sure the farther back you go in teeth, the more force you can use...  But then the front teeth are smaller in size, therefore, the laws of science dictate that you can more easily go through something while biting with your front teeth as opposed to your back teeth.  Like trying to cut a person in half with a baseball bat compared to bludgoning a person with a meat cleaver.

I'm sorry, it's sick, I know...  But things like this fascinate me.
Cook of the Sea
That's not particularly sick.  Did you know the reason people can put a watermelon on someone's stomach and then have at it with a katana while not hurting the person is because it's harder to cut someone just going straight down without slicing.  If you watch people do that in slow motion, they don't magically stop right before touching the person, they hit em and you can see the flesh like impacting from the blade.  If they followed through with an actual slice backwards from that the person would be cut in half.
You see, I (And everyone else) would've paid attention in Physics class if they would just apply it to cool stuff like this.  School appealing to our interests...

Oh yeah, comparitevly, I've maxed out one of those force measurement machines at four hundred pounds of pressure per square inch with a downward kick from my right leg.
