Anywhere, everywhere
Yeah, so remember that little topic I made earlier about getting 101%? Well, if you want to go a step farther and get 102%, you can. Or you could get 103%. Or 104%. Or 347% (if anyone honestly has that much time on their hands).
It all has to do with the ship missile expansion in Hoverplat Docking Site. This expansion, along with the missile expansion in Gearworks, make up two "special" expansions in this game. They wait to give you the "(Ship) Missile Expansion acquired!" message until afterwards, likely so that you don't let go of the spider track in Hoverplat Docking Site or forget to screw attack in Gearworks. This lack of an acquired message is what leads to the trick. In Hoverplat Docking Site, the message only pops up in those platforms in the center; if you can make it all the way to the platforms by the door, the message won't come up.
Knowing this, wallcrawl into Hoverplat Docking Site and get to the skywalk. From here, activating the terminal fall from anywhere in the room will still put you at the entrance. Now, what you must do is morph and grab the ship missile expansion while falling in midair. When you hit the terminal fall, you'll respawn back by the door. No message will come up, but the percent will go up 1%, similar to the Darkburst in MP2. Here's where the infinite percent comes into play:
By leaving Hoverplat Docking Site and reloading it, the ship missile expansion will actually reappear! It can be picked up once again and everything. Because of this, a series of wallcrawls will grant an infinite amount of percent. I collected it 6 times trying to find a reliable spot to morph to pick it up. What I found was to skywalk directly above the spider track running parallel to the ship missile a few feet away. Face straight along the spider track so the expansion is off to the left and morph. As soon as you morph, hold left and Z to strafe and unmorph. You should pick up the ship missile along the way down. I have a video, but of course, if anyone wants to make a better quality one, feel free.
I'm pretty sure the trick won't work for the missile in Gearworks because the message pop-up point extends throughout the platforms with the exit doors. To go along with that, the destroyed gears above the missile probably make it impossible to fall onto. Anyone can try it if they want to, though, because it would allow for an easier wallcrawl.
This is definitely my favorite "useless" sequence break now! :P
