The one with Ridley. Oh my gosh, the graphics in Other M are fantastic! I want to play it, but I saw the scene before Samus fights Ridley... it nearly made me puke. >_<;

Otherwise, the gameplay looks awesome! :D

Really, though, I think Samus said, "it can't be!" because Ridley has a duck-beak [/joke]

you do know this game has been out for years, right?
Also did you know that this game is pretty terrible? Wait.. Sorry, it's good for a one-time 2 day play through but other than that you'll get tired of hearing Samus' new personality after the first couple hours.
Other M ratio = 1:843368964308742  gameplay:video/samus complaining.
But yes graphics were pretty alright and the final "hidden" boss was cool. Not tryin to dog the game but it's definitely a rental not a purchase kinda game

That's pretty much what I'm saying. It frustrates me that this game has some fun looking stuff, but an awful storyline. -_-;

I'm a big story person, so, if the story sucks, then the game sucks.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
If story matters to you, do not under any circumstances play this game. Forget it even exists.

pretty much this. The story is 80% the reason why this game sucks. Take it out, and you have a... more bearable action game (yeah, pretend it isn't metroid).

Ta'kaya as "Teyla the Demiphoenix"
The game would be infinitely better if it had this scene on each boss fight, complete with the music and the weapon currently in use:

Okay, being serious, the music for Sector 1 could've been like this:

EDIT: Minor edits for grammar and context.

That M2k2 guy
The cutscenes make up nearly 2 hours, the fastest run is nearly 4 hours, thus the ratio of video/samus complaining described in the third post is a slight exaggeration...

The gameplay is pretty neat, I think. It's good if you think of it more as an interactive action movie, rather than a Metroid game. Thing is, even if you ignore the cutscenes, there are several problems in the gameplay, too.
-First person mode feels not only very restricting, but straight-up buggy. Luckily, it's necessity is sparse.
-There are sections (one of them being a dozen rooms long) that force you to take baby-steps to traverse them in a second-person angle.
-The "sense-move" required to dodge enemy attacks, though neat, becomes rather excessively necessary, and the more you get used to it, the less responsive it gets.
-Invisible barriers to prevent...jumping over to part of rooms that are supposed to be entered from specific paths, despite being clearly visible and seemingly unhindered. Total BS.

I enjoy it. I do not recommend it.

From a strictly gameplay perspective, I find the game enjoyable. Not a masterpeice by any means, but fun to play. The many issues with the story heavily taint the experience- But if you're the kind of person that can ignore that stuff, it's really not a bad game.

Now that I analyze it more closely, a lot of things about the gameplay itself scream "unfinished"/"early build"
Kinda like Sonic '06

No it all worked fine. There wasn't much else that could be done given the controller.

Just let us use the nunchuck. Nobody would be so stupid to force you to use only wiimote for a 3d platformer and limit your options so much, right? Totally not Sakamoto
One shall stand, one shall ball.
But did the sideways Wiimote not bring back that old NES feel?!?!

i'm still trying to figure out why they put first-person shit in that game at all
What'd you say?

So you would feel deeply immersed in the world as you look for that one pixel that progresses the plot!

Quote from Adam Malkovich:
USE YOUR PLASMA BEAM!

The fun starts at around the 5:00 mark

"They say that even to this day, you can still hear the radio-echoes Adam's ghostly voice, repeating the same order he once gave to our great Hunter: USE YOUR PLASMA BEAM!"

I laughed. :p

Sadly, I did play Other M. I bought it for $4. The BIGGEST waste for $4 I've ever made. -_-;

The gameplay, IMO, is awesome, but... the story, oh the story. I weep. I hope they decanonize the game.
