I need help making the best hack EVAR!!! [locked]

I'm not too good with SMILE, and I know nothing of ASM or sprite editing, but I have some really good ideas for level design, and just need some help implementing them. Basically, I will recruit others to do the work, and I will take the credit.

How about it? Anyone?

Okay, I can draw sprites and tilesheets and hack music and items in for you and do all the rooms. I would really like it if you could call it "DonnyDonovan's Awesome SM Hack" and maybe put in the subtitle "with minor help from some guy from m2k2" please?

I really hope you just worded that badly, because the way you have it now sounds like you're going to make it sound like you did everything instead of your receiving help from others.

Again, team hacks don't normally work out too well. That and we'd like to see screenshots of your hack before we consider (I won't help, I barely function on my own, but others might).

I'm pretty sure the first post was a joke, which some of the reply's (especially the last one) does not seem to take into account (because they just look like regular bashing, not joking). I might very well be wrong about the reply's though.

It was indeed a joke topic, in response to the recent rash of people asking for help on hacks that are barely off the ground and that, realistically, we'll probably never see (with all due apologies, and I hope I'm wrong).

I've messed with SMILE a little but haven't done anything I'm ready to even think about sharing with the community, and, to be honest, I doubt I could make the time commitment necessary to do something I'd be proud enough of to submit.

Firephoenix's was the only response that appeared (to me at least), to think I was serious. And yes Cpadolf, that last line was what I thought put the post over the top so that my intent was obvious.

I guess I'm just bored waiting for Aegis!

I do kinda like the sound of "DonnyDonovan's Super Happy Best Ever Fun Hack (with a little help from others at M2k2)" though.

I like the way Expenzif did it. Some preview shots/vids, then nothing for months. Then all of the sudden BOOM! totally awesome screenshots and a completion of 90%. None of this 'I'm making a hack , walk me through it please.'

i can halp you on yer new hack!!!11 i say first we expand all teh rooms then we add more plms then we increase teh gravity and then try to copy Dmantra's chozos. i can also hack teh samus sprites!! im rilly good with samus aran beauty salon!!!

How come whenever someone says their making a "best hack ever" they always ask for help from half the website, when it never comes out anyway, when the actually good hacks and fangames come from the people who get help from thier friends or work alone with lots of dedication?

Answer: They don't brag because there too busy working on thier projects.
