Alright, so in the
Pirate Homeworld, right after getting the last Grapple
, coming in from the main entrance, there's a door you can now open with your newest enhancement, which leads to another elevator, and when you walk in, it's broken. Through the window you can see a missle expansion, and by cutting the cable to can get it.

However, if you morph and try and leap through the window, you will float a bit in mid-air. After doing it a few times, all of a sudden your HUD will dissapear, leaving only a bluish triangle jutting from the bottom of your screen. If you unmorph, however, the entire screen is formed out of triangles and you are unable to see anything. It seems like you have total control, but you cannot interact with anything. If you can roll to your ship and get on it, it continues even in the ship.

I got the missile and mistakenly saved, but I was curious as to if anyone else had this happen to them. It seems like a very odd thing to happen.
Thread title:
My thoughts earlier on the elevator:
Quote from I:
In the bottom floor of the elevator room in the beginning of the pirate world, beyond the door you open to the right facing the elevator is an elevator shaft with a dangling broken elevator you have to knock down. Well, being unobservant and impatient at the time, I didn't notice the wires above and decided to force my way around the elevator. Which, as it turns out, is perfectly possible and quite easy. Just jump into the edges and you'll make it to the top. The entire top is one of those "slidy surfaces" in morph ball mode. Maybe IS or a SW is possible up there or between the elevator and the walls, but I didn't experiment much with the realization that I wasn't supposed to do that and might get stuck. Yay for an "early" missile expansion. >_>

Sounds to me like you got the MP3 equivalent of the Infinite Speed (IS) glitch from the first two Primes. Cool.
ZOMG, this is the Infinite Speed bug. :D I just tried it. When the blue triangle appears, just boost a couple times and you'll warp up to the top of the room and appear in the bomb slot just like IS.

I doubt you can use it to get anywhere other than the bomb slot, though. :( Since you can't use the elevator in morph ball form and everything. Still really awesome that IS is in the game, though.

But there could be more places to trigger them, this is only the first one, I believe there's gotta be at least another one in the entire game, and maybe we will find a big use to it...

Nice video, but I never saw you giving credit to Megaa for discovering it, you probably just forgot it, cause I know you always give credit, I already posted it in youtube also.

Edit: It doesn't seem to work for me, I can get the glitch but when I boost nothing happends...
It only works when you're still stuck in the air. If you drop down boosting doesn't do anything unusual. As far as the credit, explained that on youtube.
It's really strange how the bug appears now... it just seems to instantly appear without warning, whereas in previous Primes it required a one minute "charge" time.  I'll have to look into this when I reach Pirate Homeworld if I don't find a similar spot on the way (I have the game now), though it might be a bit since I always take my time when I first go through a game.
IS acts differently than in previous games in lots of different ways, and that's just one of them. Another way is how light show is now cancelled by morphing, and another is the fact that the morph ball graphics don't glitch up anymore.
I'm still not able to get to the bomb slot, for some reason even if I get the IS the first time and never fall, I just keep boosting on the same spot, or start spinning on the same spot...
Bangaa Bishop
Add this to the game breaker glitches section on the wiki :)

Aw, I misse dout on being able to do IS.

Oh well, I'll probably end up playing through again on Hyper anyway. =P

IS is back in some form! Sweet! From the discovery video, it looks like you can move around unmorphed (with a mild lightshow) and then morph again to get IS back.  Could we get past that spinning gate at the very least, with IS activating/spinning about the bomb slot?  (I think we're on the right side for that early on and the far side is accessed much later.)

There is a manual aim setting for Boostball, is that what the arrow is, or is it required to do IS?  Is spiderball required, or just boost?  So much to test!
I don't know if boost aiming is required, but it seems like it is. You don't need Spider, IS is triggered by just spring balling at that spot.
Here's where I reveal my massive ignorance, but how do you turn on boostball aiming? ^_^
Pause then go to "options".

While you can unmorph and move, from what I notice, Samus can not "use" any items, or at least, I haven't been able to. So there's a good chance Samus could get stuck. :P

Also, it's more than a mild lightshow. It's kind of impossible to see anything. :P

It did that in a few rooms in Metroid Prime. (Charge beam room and the hallway before it IIRC)
