I have been avoiding alot of media about the game. I know about the part where she can 'corrupt' herself and that changes her suit, but I know nothing about the story.

In Metroid Prime he had Power, vearia, water suit (cant remember the name) and phaon suit.
In Metroid prime 2: Echoes, she had Vearia suit, dark suit and light suit

So I wonder. Is she going to have more then the vearia suit and the 'curroption' suits? Or hasnt anything been confirmed?

Sorry if this is a completely stupid question  Embarassed

I'd also like to see many upgrades. At least a total of 4 suits.
Echoes disappointed me because of only 3 suits  :|

But afaik there has nothing been confirmed by now.
sorry to complain, but your spelling is terrible.  its VARIA.  also its NOT the 'water suit' Its the 'Gravity Suit'
Armor Guardian
As upgrades, suits are boring. We need more new and exciting upgrades like Hand Grenade Launchers or Easy Bake Ovens.

What of your grammar?  ;)

Anyway enough of the spelling/grammar flames.

First of all, IIRC we've been stated that the "corruption" suit (IIRC it has a name like PET or ARC or something) is her standard suit, so that's only 1 (unless she runs around in the Varia during the tutorial stage). I don't think we need that many suits for a good game, to be honest, but I do think there will be more than one out there, if only because of the "adding defense" part that all the suits do.
Anywhere, everywhere
There's 2 right now.

Varia
P.E.D.

I sure there will be at least 1 or 2 more.

Just played through it and found it. I always thought it was the vearia suit for some reason :p XD

Perhaps on the final stages or something, they will make the 'corruption' suit (I just cant stop saying corruption suit loel :p) un-corruptable (lol). Kinda like the light suit made you completely immune to the dark realm on aether? :p

the suits have sucked so far. they are only good to skip mostly.

i would care more for beams or missiles. i'm wondeing if the seeker missiles will be useable with the new aiming.
If they make a return, I think the Seekers need a more active role in combat this time around. A missile upgrade that is only used to get past certain puzzles (Or against one small segment of a two part boss) doesn't seem like it was worth the effort to me. The whole idea behind the Seekers makes it the perfect choice for combat situations, and unless I missed something, I don't recall anything like that from Echoes. (Can you even lock on fast enough in combat to get all 5 missiles off against something with the way they work in Echoes?)

Returning to the topic of suits, I'm sort of hoping for something related to the Phazon Suit to make a return appearance. Seeing as how Samus herself is the one who is corrupted this time and not her Power Suit, it would need to be altered, but I'd still like to see it come back. Although, do we really want Samus and Dark Samus to look even more similar than they do already? (Not that I don't like what Dark Samus looks like these days.)

And on that subject, I realized something earlier today. Without the Space Pirates and the Omega Pirate, Dark Samus wouldn't exist.

Think about it:

- The Pirates conduct the Elite Pirate program, with Omega being their best result
- Samus comes flying in, destroying their research and base at the same time
- Samus defeats the Omega Pirate, which falls on her and corrupts her, creating the Phazon Suit
- Samus clashes with Metroid Prime, who steals the Phazon Suit from Samus in the end

- Dark Samus is born...

So in defeating the Omega Pirate, Samus creates her newest, possibly most dangerous, rival. Strange how that works, huh?
