How do you see Crocomire? [locked]

Hacks. The Croc sprite is in the rom, IIRC, but it goes unused in the game.

The Crocomire is a hack on an emu. Since the Crocomire was still left in memory after being made, it can be easily be hacked into the game (even if it is actually vulnerable in MZM). I think you just hack the plasma beam upgrade in the Chozo Ruins or something...

Does Croc's AI exist in the cart? I'd love to see someone make a short hack of the game where you fight him, just for fun. He was probably going to be a Norfair miniboss.

from what i recall, the crocomire data in zero mission has no death or attack data, so it wouldn't be much of a fight...

Dang... they must have sprited him, then abandoned him before they wrote his data. In the video he just stands there moving, and he seems to "die" (notice he stops flashing when shot) but nothing happens.

i remember seeing another video like this exept it was hacked into a different room, with samus behind crocomire. his body doesn't hurt you, and you can walk up the back of it like a ramp.

In SM he is utterly invincible other than when he falls into the magma behind him. He spits fireballs at you and charges to attack you. Oh yeah, and he looks a little like a smaller orange version of Kraid.

Yup, all he does is stand there. If it was possible, I bet you could re-code him in, but maybe there was a hardware limitation which would have meant that you would not kill him the normal way, which wouldn't make sense because getting boiled in acid twice wouldn't work very well.

If you watch the movie, he gets hit and flashes a few times and then stops getting hit. He probably dies by taking damage, but as was stated he has no death programmed in, so he just keeps dancing after he "dies".
